Hi guys,

Had a failure at snetterton the other night which ended proceedings early. Started as a misfire at 5500rpm and progressed to running on two exceptionally lean(pink exhaust tips) and very hot. Anyway starting with a coil pack replacement (wishful thinking) but mindful I may have to whip the head off to inspect things.

Does anybody know what head gasket I need for my LE9 block (2.4) running a B207 head? The LE9 is 88mm bore but I think the Z22Se block is 86mm bore.

Secondly, if anyone knows which head gasket I need, where can I get one from?

Jamie

Likely just bog standard LE9 gasket would be it given bore size.

A normal LE9 gasket is the way to do it, UNLESS there is some jiggery pokery for compression ratios or to add valve clearance on a high lift/overlap cams.

With standard z22se cams then just a LE9 gasket.

My old engine (a combination of a 2.4 LE9 (LE5) bottom end and modified Saab cylinder head) used this gasket p/n:

GM 12597769

Cylinder Head Gasket 2.4 LE5 12597769 (crateenginedepot.com)

Pretty sure it was sourced from Autovaux at the time
