Cheers everyone,

I was searching but couldn't find any specific answers.

So I would like to know if it's possible to retrofit the cruise control function on the N/A models?

I have a 2002 model, supercharged, and would like to use a cruise control.

Thank you!

I always thought this might work given it is cable actuated, I know someone has installed this on an Esprit in the UK.

It was dead easy on older vauxhalls, but they had a BCM and other modules.

Not sure if the ecu only 220 would be the same, plus the n/a has no clutch switch which would be an essential part.

Previous threads have said not possible on NA: http://www.vx220.org...trol/?p=1903468

You'll just have to get a turbo :)

Cable?! It is electronic operated.

But yeah, it seems like I will just go and use a brick or something :D

Thanks for the help!!

you can buy retrofit CC systems for cars whether cable or DBW if you really wanted to go that far.

I played with an ex-Astra ECU years ago as I had read things (which I can't find now) that said the firmware to run the DBW throttle was on them, as the Astras had cruise (or optional, or the Australian market ones did - there was an Australia member of the forum who was looking).

I got as far as looking through VX hex code and comparing it with a dump from the Astra ECU using MPPS and put it on WinOLS and a hex editor to see where they differed, but never found a routine that looked like a speed holding function.
That's not to say it wasn't there, but I never found it.

Sadly what I had to say at the time is all gone in the recent database flop.

I moved to getting OBD tuner and didn't continue to look, but the the physical hurdle was that you'd need to fit, wire and find where to connect to the ECU the stalk.
