More or less on the day 20 years after buying the Speedster as a 40-years crisis I have now bought this as a 60-years crisis.

Well, I'm a similar age, and last year I sold my Honda SP2 as it was too much agony to ride.
Love my bikes but I just can't take any weight on my wrists so sports bikes are unfortunately out.
That's a lovely Ducati.

I currently have a Honda SP2, but had a go on an Africa Twin recently which was a nice change!! Took the missus to the coast and got a speed awareness course

Africa twin pales into insignificance compared to the multi Strada

I keep looking at the 1260 Pikes Peak. Last of the V-Twins. Bit like a big super moto. The 1200's are really cheap now, can't be long before the 1260's dip in value.
The V4 is very nice, but so much money.

Nice, how does it ride? I always thought the supersports looked like a good option for a road-focussed sports bike.

I honestly donĀ“t know yet. Got it last monday on a lorry. Started it and drove it for 10 minutes around the blocks.
Got sick on tuesday and now the weather got really wet and cold.
Sigh.
It was more adult than I expected. Smooth. Uncomfortable and sounded lovely.

Honda RC30 checking in here - i'm all elbows and knees on it, but I intend to be buried with it.
The a great looking bike. I've not ridden any of the last 15 years-or-so Ducatis, but i'd have one on a plinth in the living room just to walk round and look at.
RC30! Oooohhh!
My first Ducati. My first bike with fairings and no kickstart as well.
Used to ride a Triumph 1969 and later a KTM 640 Supermotard.
I guess a plinth (not in the living room but in the garage) might be where this will end up as well.
Maybe not next summer but later on as I am not really that into bike riding anymore.
