There is a great deal of valuable reference data and pics that's been placed on this site over the years and it would be a disaster if this wasn't looked after properly.

I, for one, would be happy to subscribe to a small annual fee if this was necessary to ensure the site remains available.

It's obvious that the current Admin isn't able to maintain the site, for whatever reason.

Does anyone know who the Administrator is?

Just looked on the premium section, think the chap who runs this is Neil Bowen?

Yes AFAIK.

Also the Recent Status Updates are what?  Bots that have managed to register as members?  I mean 7718 users online in the last 60 minutes?  The site is obviously not being maintained correctly, if at all.

OK, if there are enough people that value this site and the data on it, could someone investigate getting someone to take it over and manage/maintain it?

I'm afraid I don't have any IT contacts anymore, but perhaps someone reading this does?

Going to cancel it, might be the Ducati forum but I think that's £5

That's the problem Ivor, nobody seems to know who's running the site and more importantly, where your subscription is going. As the users of this site, we need to take back control and put it with someone we trust.

I'll talk with Lee I think, get him to sound the ' owner's out
I've had an initial reply from my web hosted guy, may need to port the content to a newer forum software, I've looked into this before, my ducati forum uses a more modern content management system ( CMS)

That would be great, just need to be sure that nothing is lost in the process, which I suspect could be a challenge for the IT guy.

My IT guy needs access to the back end of the software, an admin login in, to progress, I'll see what I can achieve

So, the ducati forum I use uses this software:

https://xenforo.com/

I've previosuly enquired with xenforo about porting .org onto their software, I'd need to find the answer, probably posted on here about it actually

it's $195 to buy,

hosting would be £20-£30/month, so say £300

30 uses £10 each, plus buying the software , plus any porting costs to new software.

do we have 30 people willing to pay £10?

Just a thought.. I also use the Lotus Grand Tourers forum (Excel, Elite, Eclat) which I find is quite user friendly. Shall I see if I can contact the Admin to see if they would be able to port the Vx220 data and host it?
