Hi, Evening all. Hoping you can help me. I have a VX200 non turbo and starts and runs okay for 30mins. After 30min it cuts out and doesn't restart. Leave it to cool down for 15min and it will restart. It been like this for some time and been looking at different possibilities to what it can be. A few garages have has a look but no joy. I have replaced the crank shaft sensor but no joy. Plugged in a dynastic unit and doesn't have any codes. Is this a common problem or can anyone advise on what it can be. Is there any recommendation on where I could take it, located in north Kent. Thanks in advance. Brian.

Failing fuel pump. I'm sure I have read that others have had similar and it was that.

If the 30 minutes is quite reliable, and I appreciate it would probably not be exactly 30 minutes dead, then that suggests something heating up.

Check the fuel pump relay for heat, wiring and fuse.
And if its the pump, as noted above by Cavturbo, ánd it is heating up you could fill the tank to have more heat absorption capability from the petrol itself (petrol has a higher specific heat capacity vs. air-fuel vapour)and see if that lengthens the 30 minutes.

http://www.vx220.org...lacement-guide/ might help if it's the pump and you don't fancy dropping the tank.

Following on from the above, check all the relays are seated properly, you need to remove the relay block in the boot and check the connections from the rear, check none are pushed back
