A friend emailed me yesterday to say that speed cameras on the M4 into Wales go live on 14th July. Apparently they're hidden in the information boards and linked straight to DVLA. From the description I've been given they are the not the take a piccy type (Gatso), but estimate speed over distance. :( The source is good as his company services speed cameras cheers

If you run a search on this site there was a thread about these cameras a week or two ago. They basically time you over a fixed distance and if your average speed is to high a piccy of your car goes straight to the DVLA and you'll get a nice letter in the post. They have been using them for some time in Nottingham and Northamptonshire. I regularly drive into Nottingham and they're pretty effective!! The only advantage to the driver being if you scream past one a bit quickly you just have to pootle along for a mile or two and your average should be kept low!! :beat:
