6 clicks hey, bit harder than mine.
But like you say it depends on how hard your springs are!!

We are talking two different time frames here. Twiddling with suspension set-up is now. Planning an optimal system using the best available physics is next year's delivery.I'd have thought playing with the suspension settings would be better first step than 'magneto-rheological dampers'
I am always interested in identifying the best possible solution before moving onto what we can afford / have time to do. If the basic physics of the magneto-rheological units stands up we are all going to use them. Believe me for I have my scrying hat on.
I accept they may not be an immediate solution as no one has yet engineered "off the shelf" after-market configurations which will fit for us. However, in principle, something which is variable in performance without moving parts, is repeatable in operation and can be compensated automatically for wear or temperature change or manufacturing inaccuracy is very desirable.
The fact that they may permit very extended modes of operation in conjunction with dynamic monitoring of the chassis state provides for a whole range of interesting experiments anyway. We might start with simple bump - rebound rate curve programming and move on to optimising dive / squat etc . If you have enough sensors and an adequate model the operation could in any event be heuristic (i.e. it learns on the job). The opportunities are fascinating.
It bears lookijng in to to see (a) if the physics will fit the need ( when its going to be available in the specialist market © f the specialist market is going to be able to acquire the skills to implement this quite broadfront engineering - electrical power management, sensing, modelling and microprocessor control.
Fascinating stuff.
Kind regards - Ian

Do a search for "spring rate can someone help a German guy"
I fit the wheels before I set off by the way. The tyres are A048's and road legal. Plenty of room left for a blonde.

Silly me. I was assuming you were running a support vehicle or had a little trailer......
Yes, I think its A048Rs next stop for me too.
