nope/never/not a chance/in your dreams
take your choice :D

only way to go, is by SFRO and registrate it as a new car.

:( I don´t like any of them :beat:

:grouphug: Maybee we should start a discusion in Valhalla about why we can´t take advantage of EC

One thing that is aproved in one country should be aproved in all EC countries :poke:

Wow, I like the sound of that! I even have the dough for it after selling my Aprilia Mille!

Having read it Alfred seems to be getting a really hard time! poof

What other mods were put on the car?

As mentioned in the report, basically Wilbers suspension and ATCDTM wheels, Janspeed sport exhaust and cat system, all other things are included in the package.

Janspeed sport exhaust and cat system

How much more power/torque is this giving than a standard stage 2?
Does the additional weight of the SC & cooler affect the handling of a VX on standard suspension or was your car modified before?
Have you been head to head with any standard/modified VXT's yet? I'd love to know how they compare around a track. thumbsup

You mention 4.3 sec. 0-100kmh (0-62mph) did the guys do any other accel. tests i.e 0-100mph,1/4 mile & most importantly in gear 20mph increments (30-50,40-60,50-70 3rd & 4th etc.)?

Sorry if this is a little 'Spanish Inquisition' :D

You will need the exhaust system to get to the power level. The standard exhaust system creates too much backpressure to go above 230BHP and 270Nm. Any better will do better. Although I do not expect that the incremental 12KG of the sc , cooler and other stuff will change your suspension settings, I have to admit, that I got my wilbers fitted and calibrated with the sc already on. Have not had a chance to drive against a VXT, only a VXNA. Will go to a "pistenclub" event in summer to get more data.

BTW HITEC does also modify British cars, in case you cannot or do not want to wait. and CHris Vogeler will be on the Tuner GP in Germany in a month time.

As you are probably aware the new supercharger kit is now available. And we have finalised the costs and power etc. :D Stage 1 increases the power to 210-215 BHP on a standard car with a standard exhaust. The cost is £4750 fitted including vat. Stage 2 increases the power to 240+ BHP and consists of higher flow injectors and smaller diameter alloy supercharger pulley and a different map. The cost for this is £5175 including vat and fitting. For the Stage 2 the car must have a sports exhaust system with the main area being the front pre cat removed and a 200cell sports cat. We have not included the system in the price, as so many cars already have this fitted as one of the first mods done. We will however offer a system at a discount if one is need at the time of the conversion. :) At the moment there are two Stage 2 cars finished. Alex’s has a Janspeed system (not the Vauxhall black sports tailbox) and this did 246 BHP. One of our own N/A’s with a stage 3 has this system, however I think this will be border line on some strict noise regulation track days. The second car has a full Milltek and produced 245.4 BHP. The turn around time for the conversion is 4 days most people drop the car in one Saturday and collect the following. Unfortunately for me (fortunate for Hartmut) he has 4 more cars to do, such is the popularity, and 3 are in the workshop at the moment and another arriving next week. This means that he has stolen my kit! :( So my kit is still about 4 week way. We are however prioritising kits for customers as sold orders in the meantime, so there’s no worries here for our customers. Please contact us if you require any more details. thumbsup thumbsup

At least it will be put to good use....... rather than just sitting in the workshop as your car never seems to go anywhere. :poke:

Hi Jon,

Do you know roughly what stage 1 will give with a full Milltek?

Cheers, Paul.

You should see a little bit more, however we have not tested this variation yet. We'll post as soon as we have the info.

Hi Jon, Great news. I'd be interested in the first UK road tests, particularly how tractable the car is for road use rather than just a track beast. chinky chinky

chinky chinky

The conversion has been designed for road use with particular attention paid to road manners and drivability. You will find that the power delivery on the supercharged car is far smoother than the Turbo as it produces a lot flatter torque curve. Indeed the first time I drove one I found that it was far easier to drive hard, as the boost was far more linear making powering through and out of bends more predictable. And this was on the side of a Swiss mountain ! :o
Whats more the new conversion has a far flatter torque curve than the old making this even better. :D

Here is a New vs Old Torque Curve. Sorry its a bit scrappy but I have overlaid a HiTec graph onto one of our own to show the different torque curves.

And here is HiTec's Power and Torque curves from a run during the final stages of development. Again sorry for the quality (or lack of it!). This graph ends at just over 6,000 rpm because we were measuring exhaust back pressure.
