...and do you know what I've just calculated? Here comes the maths - concentrate: :D A VX NA has 150lbft A VXT has 185lbft Hitec stage 2 has 221lbft 185-150 = 35 (vxt torque difference over na) 221-150 = 71 (hitec torque difference over na) So, the Hitec kit has over twice as much torque again as a VXT did over an NA! If you're an NA owner who has driven a VXT and lusted after that power increase, this kit will feel twice as fast again! :drink: And all this with quite a lot less weight! Awesome... Imnotworthy Cheers, Paul.

There is threat at the German forum about Chris Vogeler , a German race prof cheerishing about the SC conversion. He is kicking the 2 minute barrier on the Hockenheimring and calls it the most important change to his car. He ended up after just 7 rounds without improving the setup with a little more than 2 minutes. He is believing that he will be able to beat tuned turbos as a result of the superior power when accelerating at the end of curves. I have eyewhittness of having him beating a Porsche GT3 at the straight line with taking over and having the Porsche being forced to run behind him.

We need a smiley with horns and a mad cackle!

This is utterly, unbearably wonderful!

But still sure it can't be done in Switz., as has to comply with Euro 4 – can't do that with pre-cat removed...

You lucky, lucky b... oy!

Guess you could still get the stage 1 which runs on std exhaust?

Cheers, Paul.

One thing i've been meaning to ask about is supercharger whine - how bad/good is it? Also, the charge cooler - is this a water based cooler, if so, does it have a separate radiator etc? Cheers, Paul.

If you want a loud induction noise with the supercharger you could always put a viper or 57i kit on it. thumbsup

There is a new report on the German page about Chris, doing a 2.20 on the GP Nuerburgring. No Porsche GT3 or GT3RS had a chance to beat him. He thinks, that he will get even get faster than that shortly. This time is now the best time ever for a VX220 on the GP curcuit. Let us see, where this is leading us. It is clear now, that the project has been a real success. BTW, you can decide yourself, what kind of noise you want from the SC. It is just depending on the filter, that you are using. You can have everything between the air sound and a loud whine. Does not change the perfomance though ;-) #2177

Air/water and it has a separate radiotor, switches on at 50°C and off at 40°C.

Thanks Alex - where does it/water reservoir go in the car?

Do you find the SC whine bearable on motorways etc?

Cheers, Paul.

Good questions paulf-cam thumbsup , i'm to excited about the sc to ask anything sensible, keep em coming. Jon, any idea when your VX gets the sc treatment? Will you be taking prospective sc people out for a drive so we know what it's all about before spending our money. thumbsup EDIT: That would mean your car would have to venture outside though.

It is a closed loop, the intercooler is in front of the right rear wheel, additional pump and blower is in there also. You have to refill over a couple of days the water until all air is out, after that you do not need to touch anymore.

The SC noise for me, using almost the standard airbox is just a very gentle whisper under the sound of the Janspeed exhaust system. HITEC has also build it with a K&N kit, where you will have a loud very high frequency sound on top of the exhaust. You chose!

Thanks, Alex....

How much does all that weigh full of water? Is it easy to get at to fill up or check / do you have any pictures?

Thats good news - Don't really fancy a high pitched whining noise right in my ear for hours on the motorway! :o
