Maybe sorted out already mate - Willow is uploading them to my ftp server (aka laptop) as I write. As soon as they are hosted I'll let you know the details and then they can be downloaded. I don't mind sending out a few CD copies either...

The upload on the first CD failed after about 23 hours this morning. So close and yet.... If anyone has the first TIS CD and wants to upload it to me, please PM me and I'll give you the relevant details. I'm also trying to get this off emule but no joy as of yet.

I nearly cried, It was like that bit in bambi where the mum dies, i could not believe it - 4 days without sleep as my chavved up computer was whirring away with its blue neons and just pissing me off....... and to be so close

Pedro if theres no other option i can send you the disks tomorrow if thats any use/quiicker then pissing around with Emule or whatever, then you can upload them too

Thats a lot of data. The VX section can't be that big can it? I remember someone saying way back that they might try to PDF the relevant sections. Is it in a form that might turn into PDFs well?

Its deeper then the atlantic, theres loads of different sections to the program, ranging from technical bulletins, labour times, reworks, wiring diagrams and generally anything that you want to do with a vx or the engines......it would be a brave man who sat and sifted through the pages

But its up to whoever i suppose, the 2 discs are 1.4gb in total.....

I was under the impression those discs covered the entire vauxhall range?

They do indeed, but there are different menus for different areas and so on, its like a maze, its not a straight forward VX menu or Astra menu, they are interlinked between differenct engines and so on, all very dull....... spend all day at work sitting on the thing, terribly mind numbing unless looking for vx things

Hmmm, is it all html or a custom program, do you know?

Its a custom program.........pretty much all major manufacturers use the same sort of system, it revolves around teh TECH2 testing system for diagnostics etc - that little EML that comes on every now and again, thats all to do with TIS components, and when the tech plugs it in tells them whats wrong with it......half the time nothing, but thats 40 quid in VX pockets eveery time......

I'm in the same situation as Nick, not much chance of a download. I can burn copies to pass on, but need the discs first.

sorry nick missed your post. yes mate all three of you who are on my list will get them , a day or two after i get mine. i'm in the same boat , still waiting. willow do you fancy sending out another set to me so we can get this rolling? i think crispy must be having a few problems getting his copies done.

I havent had a chance to sit and copy any for the last few days.....busy at work with the new Reg and so on.......(any excuse) I will get some more copies put together but cant gurantee that they will be done before Crispy's as Im going surfing for a few days....
