You get the revised rev limit that AMD don´t have. And I think AMD have been over-optimistic about the performance of their remap. So why not? thumbsup But it is always better to get the remap on a Dyno.

REgal map is different from AMD (unless Regal have changed it recently) in that it develops more low down torque at the expense of bhp at higher revs. Max torque on mine was developed at 2500rpm. Not surehow it would work with the AMD cams

That's why I'm wondering if its just a plug 'n play solution or if they map your car properly depending on what you've had done

With someone with no mods except a milltek backbox wouldn't I benefit from any remap, whether it be from AMD, Regal or A.N.Other? All of them must offer increase in performance from stock, each with their own slant on things. After reading the brake pad posts tonight, £100 i'd save would buy me some Mintex pads from Regal :P

Plug & play i believe unless they have changed since having the new RR installed. The software is developed in Germany

It was OK with their exhaust system & Dbilas since the car was much more tractable with the low down torque. It gave me 160lb ft @ 2600rpm with marginally better bhp upto 3750rpm but never tried the Regal software with the AMD cams. Just decided to let AMD do their mapping to the cams.

Minime will have more up to date info

I thought Regal were RR map's, £100 is a big saving....but I'd definately want a remap done for the car otherwise it wouldnt take into account the individual mods of the car. I'm trying to convince myself to wait til the summer for my remap, tell me this Regal ain't worth it!

What Paul's said is or rather was right. They got the software developed in Germany for cars with the same mods, and applied them carte-blanche to other cars. Shouldn't think it'd make a huge difference, as the basic map would be right, and would only need tweaking for each car that it was applied to. Nice thing about how Courtneay and AMD do their stuff is that they possibly pick up any problems with the car as it's being tuned. thumbsup

on a N/A, upping the rev limit will give you a nice "NOTHING" :P  unless performance cams are installed and proper intake/exhaust work performed...
