For those who didn't see the mods I have made last Sat or Sun, here they are.
If you don't like them, I'm terribly sorry, if you do then I'm terribly happy!!

New harnesses + bullet cam

Pipe comes down to a point just before the heatshield
Posted Image
Scoop catches loads of air - small test before we put it on showed that
Posted Image

The scoop was initially made out of filler then a mould taken from it. It fits really well and behind it is a Demon Tweeks Nacar duct 3" pipe then goes down to the turbo area, No idea if it all works and when i can be arsed I'll put a temp guage in the bay and block everything I have done off, take a reading then unblock it and do another.

Customise Perfection did all the work in Southampton. If you want an air scoop I paid for all the development work and you are more than welcome to use the mould - no charge!!

I got a chance to look at these on Sat and its been very professionally done thumbsup As I said to Geoff at the time, I'd worry whether or not the scoop would help or hinder as the engine bay is designed to vent air up through the floor and out of the boot lid so whether the scoop would actually 'stall' air there or not and the rear bumper ones are cosmetic as they don't go near the engine bay but you have to give it to Geoff, its been very well done and looks factory in terms of finish thumbsup

That is next on the list as that will for sure give some benefit. Did it on my old E30 M3 and it helped somewhat.

JT - perhaps the extra air introduced to the engine are will still be expelled through the normal vents + the ones on the butress. Re the rear ones - who knows??!!!

Was the harness bar and belts expensive? And did you have to sacrifice the rear speakers?

The harness bar is a modified Elise Mk2 one, the rear speakers are still there and it doesn't touch them and best of all the normal intertia reel belts stil work so the MOT man is kept happy + you can still use them if you don't want the hassle of doing the full harness up all the time. thumbsup
The belts came from Hangar 111 (Greg Lock is the man) and I think were around £220. Harness bar was £80

If I had VXR style seats I would want this done, very comfortable and you feel part of the car rather than just sitting on it.

Very reasonabe ££.

 Or can it be fitted to a standard car with standard seats???

Although the harness bar can be fitted to a std car you might find you have to have cutouts in the seat. If the headrest are isn't as wide as mine then the belts (if of wrap-around variety) might be OK. No doubt someone will advise you from the Forum.

In my mind I am very much quicker as they expel air thus giving me a kind of extra 'boost' :drink: :drink:
