Never thought I'd be saying this after all the negative reports on dealers up n down the country, but I must applaud Monorep (Norwood Green) for the efficiency and quality of work completed this week. To cut a long story short, I picked up my VXT in Oct last yr and noticed a small patch of flakey paint under the front arches (lower part of the sill facing the wheels). Reported this to the dealer (nameless for now) who initially took v little interest only to then say, "Get a quote from your local dealer and we'll pay for the work ...". So I got a quote from Lance Owen, sent it to off to the dealer only to be told, "Sorry, we can't pay that - get them to do the work and get re-imbursed from Vxl." Not happy at this point  . Lance Owen then said it doesn't work like that and said the car would have to to go to Luton. "No way is this car going to the factory to get lost for 2-3 months ..." I said. John McNulty from Lance Owen took my side and starting putting pressure on cust care, but they all they could say was Luton, Luton, Luton! Nine weeks had passed and nobody could give me a "booking in" date, so I said, "This is unacceptable - please find me a dealer who can do the work." Get a call back from cust care, "We're happy for you to take the car to Monorep - our approved VX bodywork people." And from them on it was easy - booked the car in thru Mick Lancaster who arranged for me to take a Vectra (far better car than previous model) for the week, work was completed in 4 days and I picked her up yesterday to find she'd been fully valeted to come up like new thumbsup :D Then I met a batmobile flavoured VXT (black everything thumbsup ) on the M25 (J15) ... happy day in the end thumbsup Anyway, enough rambling - just wanted to say a big thanks to Monorep (and a certain lady at cust care who was very understanding all the way) chinky chinky BTW, I'm sure this'll get moved to the "dealers" section ASAP, but I'd like a few people to read it first and realise that at least one VX specialist knows the value of customer care!

I've always used Monorep and they have never let me down. Glad they gave you the care they have afforded me.

Hi Joss - it certainly helped Lance Owen put pressure on cust care, so many thanks for helping out and putting up with my emails! (I'm still doing the rounds with "thank you" emails at the mo!).

Like I said, Happy Days :D

Everytime I've been into Monorep Norwood Green the guy behind the desk has been a complete doodah so it's always gone to Yeading... Am I going to the wrong place/desk ?

I have found Yeading to be OK but the Norwood Green site is where the VX specialists are. They are serious about being a VXR approved dealler and show it by going the extra mile.... IMO

Monorep [I pressume it must have been Norwood green we went to as I have since been to yeading and it wasn't there, but my geography of London is patchy at best] were absolutely fanatastic when they had ours in for service. Pomeroy can give more details, but they really did a first class job, sorted out some warranty work as well as a service, and were very polite and friendly when we collected the car. thumbsup thumbsup

Damn it - why on the 2 occasions have they been so ignorant to me ? Yeading have been great - except no courtesy car :( One time when my VX was ticking (threaded alternator belt) the guy just told me to put more oil in it because they burn oil - twat - I told him it had just been serviced but he didnt care - I'm seriously thinking about reporting him, probably a bit late now :(

I was impressed by Monorep at Norwood Green who serviced my N/A and carried out some recall and warranty work - Turbo seals, airbag recall and ABS upgrade [which meant I had the brake fluid changed at Vauxhall's expence. Goody!]. Now perhaps I approach garages differently from some people here because I own a franchised dealership myself [not Vauxhall] and perhaps my expectations of and respect for garage staff is different - strange idea I know but it's always worked for me - but the service advisor I spoke to at Monorep [James?] was very capable and competent and enthusiastic and helpful when we discussed what they could and could not do. More than that he was very good when we had a little hiccup with the Turbo seal's glue not sticking. He was happy for my staff to do the repair but equally keen for me to take the car back to them for them to have another try. In fact the only quirky thing about Norwood Green is trying to park at their site, or trying to drive away when some other Vauxhall owning idiot has parked across their drive and finding your way through their labrynth of a showroom to the service counter itself. Oh, and they weren't expensive thumbsup
