Hey there,

Anyone seen < this > site, opened recently?

Most interestingly < this > book (in downloadable pdf form) showing all the steps (including all the part numbers etc) GM racing took with thier ecotec dragster! :o

Awesome.

Cheers, Paul.

It does seem to suggest that! It even mentions the speedster in the list of cars running the 2.2 engine!

However, that part number still doesn't show anything on the gm performance parts site

Hopefully, soon! :)

Interestingly, GM don't include an intercooler with thier kit - the instructions include capping the pipes on the SC. Also, they don't lower the compression ratio as part of thier instructions either, although they do go on to mention that they recommend a compression ratio of 9:1 or lower for blown applications. For the vx220, you would probably need a charge cooler of some kind, given the limited boot space, imo.... Cheers, Paul.

According to the german speedster forum a gearbox from Saab 9-3 must be installed because the orginal doesn´t fit. Someone had bought a 2.0 SC from the states and discovered this.

Has anyone e-mailed that company to find out whether they can get the Supercharger for the 2.2?

I bought the 2.0l supercharged engine from USA. But it is still on his way to germany. I hope it won´t get lost on his sea journey to europe. In the end of July I will start work on the engine, and than we will see what has to be done to fit the engine in the Speedster/VX.

Because the 2.2 is good for 250 HP in standard trim would it not be easier to use the 2.0 SC as a donor i.e. take off the SC and auxiliaries?

Or will the 2.0 SC gain something on the torque end?

Not easier if we can go down to the local vaux garage and ask for the 2.2 SC kit! :P

However, the 2.0 is a much tougher engine - guys on the american red-line forums are talking about 18 psi of boost being ok (though twin charging) :o.

Cheers, Paul.
