Daft question... Why does the main list have the cars listed as *xxxx with #xxxx sometimes added on to the end? My VIN plate matches another cars *number on the plate, but the actual Vin number and in my understanding #number is unknown to the site What's he difference between the *xxxx and the #xxxx?

What's he difference between the *xxxx and the #xxxx?

The *xxxx is the last four digits of the Vin no.
The #xxxx is the extra build no on the dash plate of speedsters.

Still don't get the difference why astrix*or hash# even though hash is generally used as a short for number, so is mine *2073 on a 2001 (51) plate.
