Stage 1a looks awfully like a Skoda which has been chopped up. What is stage 1? A Skoda that hasn't been chopped up?

I don't know what to make of the 550 This project is so exciting that the current owner couldn't even be bothered to start it and then hides what he has done with plastic boxes.
