If it is a Milltec group buy then count me in! Does that make 11 of us in total so far?

Hitec (they make the SC kit for the NA) tested the Milltek, Piper, Janspeed and Komotec and found out that the Milltek genereated the LEAST back pressure. Hence Hitec now order Millteks as part of the SC kits in Europe.

Just out of interest, do you have the results in detail? It would be interesting to see just how the other exhausts stack up even if these figures are only about back-pressure.

Is having minimal back-pressure in a NA car a good thing? I thought I'd read that it was more for FI cars that reduction in back-pressure was all-important?

You do need some kind of back pressure (especially in FI cars) that true but rear silencer back pressure is a bad thing so you're looking for as little as possible. I've asked Hitec for the print outs so we can show them (marketing gold really for Milltek :P ) so when I get them I'll post em thumbsup

Might not be the best for exrta power, nor will it last longer than you! do  but it will! make the best sound (others come close'ish but not close enough) ;) thumbsup

Thorney, Can you get a quote on a Milltek rear silencer group buy? Will it be easier to do the N/A and VXT as one job lot? If not, I will start a separate thread for the VXT owners, if this proves easier…….? Either way, are you able to break the cost down into the following, for example? Retail VXT = £502.90, N/A = £498.20 1-10 units = £xxx.xx 10-15 units = £xxx.xx 15-20 units = £xxx.xx Cheers. thumbsup

Update to the list: Willow JamesGray Troilism - VXT NeilG Wrightster 2.2 NA IanHD - post regal sale Jimgraham - 2.2 Na Rag_it vxbill83 mark_b mbastow I may as well chuck in my 2ps while we are here. I am not particularly bothered about performance upgrade - i think the car is fantastic just how it is, but i am after a bit more sound for when i am giving it some on the back roads. I have heard both Miltek and VSE and either of them would both be great. The Janspeed sounds cheep, but would the full system sound like a VSE? Any how lets get the prices and have a vote on itThat is probably the best way of making me decide anyway!! (ps i dont care about the VSE only lasting a few years - live for the now man!! B) ) chinky chinky Jim

I can get the VSE at £410 + VAT - thats a provisional price, it wont be more then that, it just depends if we can get them any cheaper from Vauxhall. so thats the VSE in the hat........

Only reason I ask james is VX sell the VSE's to dealers at £375 - so cost price is £440.62 - if the garage is selling at £460 - thats just insane haha! the retail price here is £522 inc VAT
