is 'helpfuller'

what grasp of the english language did that exec have then?

thumbsup i'v also been thinking how 'bad' that advert is..to say 'more helpful' implies you weren't very helpful in the first place  ..they'd call it 'poetic justice'..leaves a similiar bad taste in the mouth, to that of the new additions to the english language/dictionary  they should be tightening-up the use of the words they've got, rather than adding more 'jargan' to them  from what i saw/heard of the additions, they're mostly horse racing and football terms anyway  oh! and 'chav' of course   :)

why don't irons have on/off switches? all other household appliances (that I can think of) have inbuilt on/off functionality additional to simply plugging the thing in.

 spinners don't have an on/off button..you put your cloths in and closing the lid starts it ;) :D ...but then that's an 'on/off functionality' i suppose  same with some tumble dryers..

I certainly wouldn't wish any harm on the man but the coverage at present seems to be painting him as some sort of national hero and media icon rather than the regional news reader and p*ss poor game show host that he was. Being some sort of ironic joke amoungst students and lazy website writers does not make you a national hero.

he made a lot of people very happy/ cheered up their afternoons in a completely harmless way. there are far more people i'd wish dead on this planet than a bloke who's totally aware of his adequacy/ inadequacies, but bumbles along and does the best job he can anyway. thumbsup

unfortunately i'm sure someone like robert mugabe will be more 'mourned' when he finally kicks the bucket.

once again jimh, potential bitterness overload?

edit: the last part of that is possibly a bit harsh, but what with life expectancy being what it is today, 61 is far too young to die. at least half of the people who watch 'countdown' are at least 4 yearss older than that!

I was struggling to see the point. If you believe, as I do, rap music is beyond parody then there is very little point in attempting to be a comedy rap act because the result is bound to be a failure. Bad music but worse comedy.
