Don't knock your customers - especially ones that buy horrible little Corsa's off you :P

:o Blimey, now where was I working in July 05? I certainly wasn't selling previously enjoyed Corsa's then. Think I was trying to find homes for new Peugeots without too much joy

Newbies with their 'Taste' in modifications!. When was the last time you read a newbie introduction which said?... 'Hi, my name is John and I've just bought/am planning to buy a VX220. My plans for the car are to get the Geo checked as I know this is VERY important on the VX, following this I'm going to check the suspension as all my SEARCHES show that the standard units are pretty shot after 40K miles. after this I'm going to get the tie rods looked at and maybe replace the suspension bushes with poly items to make sure the car continues to perform like Lotus intended. I'll then consider looking at improving the comedy headlights and heater and get a good service on the engine. Once my VX is ready I'm then going to get some driving/track tuition as I've not had much experiance with powerfull RWD cars and I don't wan't to end up in a ditch like many newbies.' Sadly however, most newbie posts now read something like... 'Yo dudes, my name is Corsacliowikidboy and i just got a vx and stuff. my plans are to slam the car to the floor, fit some wheel spacers and a big stereo along wiv a fooking big sub in a home made B&Q mdf box, after this i'm going to put some sticky back plastic on the lights so my vx looks like a half pissed fly, i'm then going to paint my wheels every colour in the halfords range (except silver) look forward to meeting you all at the next maccy d's meet dudes.'

If they knew all that then they wouldn't be a newbie :) Thats why this forum is useful and you learn more each day. Everyones a newbie once and its nice to get help and give back the help once you starting learning the tricks.

Agreed, you'd be amazed the number of newbies who join here and think they know everything about the VX just because they happened to have owned a go-faster Astra....

The Astra is a good base to knowledge of the vx, same engine, same tuning, same companies and many similar components, whole different ball game when it comes to driving a vx though, you learn that upon your first mishap

You'd be suprized how many astras 'go-faster' than a lot of vx's on here though B)

Ok so before fred666 and Garry.L get a room and make newbie love :gayfight: , I'd better add another ON TOPIC point. Taking women clothes shopping for them to wander for bloody ages collecting half the shop. Then disappearing for at least 30 minutes (not exaggerating either) to try stuff on. And for them to leave the changing rooms deciding none of it was right :beat:

And eventually deciding that it wasn't shoes they wanted after visiting everywhere possible, but actually boots which requires a secondary visit to all the previously visited shops!

Ha Ha Ha - I really shouldn't try being a smart ass! I know I'm slow but 5 years behind the times is really sad. Nice one, I think I'd better go back to keeping my mouth shut, although my comment still applies to the Corsa. It really is a horrible little car.
