The potential customers I've had in today :beat: :P

Don't knock your customers - especially ones that buy horrible little Corsa's off you :P

:o Blimey, now where was I working in July 05? I certainly wasn't selling previously enjoyed Corsa's then. Think I was trying to find homes for new Peugeots without too much joy

Ha Ha Ha - I really shouldn't try being a smart ass! I know I'm slow but 5 years behind the times is really sad. Nice one, I think I'd better go back to keeping my mouth shut, although my comment still applies to the Corsa. It really is a horrible little car.

Compared to what?! A Ford Fiasco ?
It's one of the best small hatches available.
It's one of the safest, one of the best built, one of the cheapest to own, one of the most reliable AND one of the best to drive
I've been involved in the motor trade and motorsport since my teens...
And one of the things that really pisses me off is that some curly hair twat on TV seems to have completely destroyed the good name of a perfectly good UK based car manufacturer virtually single handed just to get a few laughs.
It's got to the point that you feel uncomfortable telling the forum on here that you have or do own another Vauxhall product ffs!

Sure this has been done to death. Generalisations to follow... Complete tards in muscled up rep mobiles (usually BMW or Audi) that decide to latch onto your rear bumper, often to the point where you can't even see their headlights, in appalling conditions where any sharp braking would result in a nasty crash. There's a car in front, what the f*ck are they hoping to achieve? :angry2: Willy waving tossers :9mm:

The only thing I didn't like about the new corsa is the A pillar. It just blocks too much slightly-to-the-right vision.

Really like the 107 considering all the obvious weaknesses in the trouser department. Shame the seat is so flat but that's all.

Back on topic: women, again  seriously thinking about mail order so I can take advantage of the distance seller rules.

Calm down. I thought this was supposed to be a fun thread? I'm just trying to wind up 2good - and coming off second best! He doesn't appear to have been offended.

To explain - the comparison is my Corsa compared to other Corsa's and other cars generally. I like Corsa's, have driven a VXR and loved it, but I bought a 'life' model from 2good ( my choice and responsibility) and I don't like it. Simple as that. End of story.

Apologies to anyone offended.

Sorry sir I'll wind my neck back in
I just can't believe how much the Vauxhall name has fallen in recent years and it largely falls at the door of a tv programme ffs !
And in recent years it seems to be fashionable to have a go at every product with a griffin badge.
I tried a Corsa VXR a couple of years back and was impressed with how well it drove.
190bhp and it all felt very controlled, quiet and comfortable at speed.
I was disappointed with the outright pace though and was hoping they might do a stripped down version, it's never came.

It isn't just recent years, I first got involved with the brand in 92, when Clarkson wasn't quite so well known but was making waves (it was 95 & the then new Vectra launch that he really stuck the knife in), anyway I was lucky enough to know somebody who had sold the product when you were lucky if your car hadn't rotten away by it's 6th birthday & then such greats as the Chevette & the original Cavalier. He was always good for a tale! & it still amazes me about what long memories some potential customers have even now.

I had an HSR, great car! And had a mate with a 2.6 HS, which has to be one of the fastest cars I've ever sat in/driven! And the most fun, very chuckable.
The Lotus engine in the Sunbeam used a Vauxhall crank. The all alloy Lotus unit was originally based on the Vauxhall slant 4.
The development hack for the 2l lotus unit was a Viva HB GT!
The Droop Snoot Firenza another great car, great handling, strong performance.

loving the vauxhall love in on this thread. I have a hatred for ill educated (or probably more top gear educated) vauxhall bashing the goes on in this place.
