Nope did the 2 miles on the M1. Signs saying it had been close at the next junction so everyone piled into lane one leaving 3 open lanes for me to drive down. It felt like ages that I drove to get to the front and as I did they nicely reopened the motorway. I wonder how long I would of sat stationary 2 miles back if I had just joined the sheep as even once it opened it would of take an age for then information to filter back. As above on the letting in. Put the indicator on and you get one arse that just looks straight forward an inch from the bumper in front but the guy behind flashes me in so not sure what he's trying to achieve being like that. Staying ahead one place is Shirley worse than getting 200m ahead ;)

Well that won't be me then!!! Never used the pieces of sh!t and never will!! I'd rather wait and get served by a human it's not as if you get a discount yet it's saving the store paying someone's wages. When theres no staff left due to these stupid checkouts we'll all be moaning that there's no jobs left in britain!!

Self service any day of the week. At least I'm in control of the process and not waiting behind some daft bint who seems thoroughly shocked when at the end of the checkout process, she actually has to pay. Really? You've stood behind the person ahead of you huffing and puffing, whilst you wait for them to pay. Cue much searching of the handbag for the purse. Followed by searching the purse to see whether she has exactly the right money in cash. Immediately followed by a search for the correct debit/credit card and the debate as to which way the card has to go into the card reader. At least we don't have to cope with cheques being written, any more. :beat: Note: I only ever buy one or two things in a supermarket and the wife does the weekly shop and leaves me outside. :D

Self service checkouts are great most of the time. It's when the wankers in front who don't have the intelligence to use them, or that take a full shopping trolley through them. What does the sign say? Ah yes 20 items or less you thick fcuker. I will scan my items, packed them and have paid by the time they realise they need to start scanning  Oh and the shitty un calibrated scales when they cock up and say please wait for assistance.

From what I seen today, the queue was massive today because someone was buying alcohol so needed staff because of the age restriction and another was buying a cd which had to be removed from a security case, and the only reason you have to queue ages at a normal till is that there is less tills and staff now because there being replaced by self service! Lol!! And don't even get me started about people that do a weekly shop at a petrol station and park at the petrol pump that you've been waiting patiently to use!!

Retarded parents! Just been to our village post office. When I walked in 3 kids of around 5 years old were crawling all over the floor which I had to carefully step over. Went to buy a card for my mum and the kids bounded along behind me like puppies. They then proceeded to take all the cards out of the racks and scatter them on the floor. Bored with that they then set upon the biscuits and breakfast cereals on the shelves. Meanwhile their mother was standing in the queue for the post office. Her only comment was when one of the kids brought her a card which was for an 18 year old, to which she said, "how sweet she thinks I'm 18". Not once did she say anything or try to rein in the kids. I wonder what these kids attitude to society will be when they're older?

Yep... they then land in an FE classroom needing to repeat maths and english because they couldn't be bollocksed during 11yrs of compulsory education.

I then get 12-20 hrs to educate them to the same level they should have comfortably walked out of high school as a side qualification for the qualification they actually want to do.

I have worked with some great students, but torn my hair out with how uneducated some are that walk through the door... put it this way Techie would use a group of swear words.
