Thanks stuwy just a really sh*t couple of days. The main thing is someone who I am really close to at work who I've worked very closely with for over 7 years had a bad car accident earlier this week. She ended up in hospital but the 24 year old driver of the other car died. And other sh*t at work as well.
Sorry for mini
Bloody hell bob you deserve to be in a Bad mood.
sh*t all around, young lad in our village, 17 years old been very ill with cancer for a long time finally died.
And we all think we have problems. Puts things into perspective a bit.

Scuffers. What a twonk.
He really isn't tbh
You might not like his online persona on here...but i've known him online since about 2004 on SELOC, Exiges etc
And he's taken a sh*t load of crap over the years. Despite all of that he's still happy to chat with me on here in the VX forum via PM and I really respect that.

Stuey, from where I'm sitting Bob goaded Scuffers and I thought his reply was quite restrained.
I think they are referring to a conversation in another thread not the commnets on here.

does it make a difference?
Stuey, from where I'm sitting Bob goaded Scuffers and I thought his reply was quite restrained.

seems to me there are is a vocal minority on here who seem to think they have the right to abuse/deride anybody that's not part of their 'crowd'.
problem for a forum like this is what then happens is people stop challenging their crap, and the board suffers as a result.
this is pretty much what happened to Selcock about 4-5 years ago, nothing useful any more, it resembles mums-net these days.
People posting on tech threads should take some responsibility for their posts, ie. if they don;t know something first hand, DONT post it.
the MOT thread is a case in point, recommending somebody spends money on a new Lambda sensor or CAT when niether are the problem is less than useful to the original poster, and if they had the first idea what they were on about they would know that.
so, istead of saying nothing, they post up their inaccurate and unhelpful crap just to further confuse the OP

Fair point Simon but you've not always got to be so nasty in your responses.
I think some people are focussing on you and giving you a hard time for sure right now as you are an easy target and I agree fully that there's too much speculation on here but just tone down your responses a little please and it'll stop people dragging things off topic and getting personal. We all know your experience and appreciate it when you post useful info but when you resort to rude comments and derisive remarks people get upset and THAT is faaaaar worse for a community like ours than some inaccurate advice.
For the record, lol @ Mums-net comment

This was your initial response which sparked the disagreement.
as usual, only half the story...
worth pointing out that -6 is actually smaller ID than the OEM stuff... (marginally).
For the record that is simply not correct. As people may be spending their "hard earned cash" on such parts I feel it is important to give correct info.
AN6 = 3/8th inch. The yellowy/gray plastic semi-hard pipes (on a VXT) that mate with the black flexis that thence lead to the fuel rail are way smaller than that. I have compared them side by side with my own eyes.
yes, -6 pipe may be, but the fittings are not, remeber, they have to fit INSIDE the bore of the pipe.
and don't get all sarcastic son, it only makes you look like a ***
Now what you could have said was:
yes, -6 pipe may be, but the fittings are not, remeber, they have to fit INSIDE the bore of the pipe. Hope that makes things clearer.
TB's rrsponse may have seemed over the top as a first reaction but it also a response to your reactions and language in many posts and threads over the last few months, not just this occasion.
I am not Nev's biggest fan as i may have hinted in the past but even I didn't see his post as sarcastic. A little curt maybe but again I seem to remember he has had disagreements with you in the past also.
What you need to remember is this is a community forum of ametuers and everyone is entitled to expres there opinion. I know you feel there are a lot of folk on here who 'spout rubbish' but if you want to be involved here you need to recognise the limit of thier knowledge and moderate your response to them. Either that or don't bother to contribute.
I am a professional trained qualified musician. Sometime Muscians threads come up and I hear some rubbish spouted. I get it all the time in 'real' life too. In fact I play in a band of amateurs and often they spout uninformed and incorrect statements. However I know sometimes I need to bite my tounge or correct in a friendly respectful manner. Otherwise I would loose many friends in that area of my life.

That's normally my line!!!!!!! And I recall making a comment like that some time ago when you were grumpy to which you were not happy
Can't we all just get along?
It was out of character for me and I don't normally get dragged into such incidents. I've apologised so lets get normal service resumed on here

to you, yes, not likely....I'd like to see scuffers apologise but I won't hold my breath.
in general, yes, I can be short with people, most of the time it's because I am on a tablet or phone and don;t have the time patience to spend 10 minutes to type a full answer (once autocheck had made a mess of it).
Some on here would do well to be less confrontational or plain antagonistic, you know who you are.
