Trains being on a Saturday timetable for today, seemingly only announced this morning.

The best bit being they run an off peak timetable yet charge peak prices.... doodahs.

This. Some people even pay a premium to buy a property there. Then parade their Chow up and down the banks of the Thames.

Sky and BT. I ordered fibre broadband on 5th December. Was told it would be two weeks. Then after two weeks got a message saying it would be the 5th of Jan. Nothing. Spoke to sky yesterday and they said they have to speak to BT and would call me this morning. No call. So I've just called them and they just said it shows something wrong with the routing, BT will update sky on the 9th.

How difficult is it to switch me to Fibre? 5 weeks + difficult? Cuntpuffins

if you have fibre available to you, your actually already using it. You just have a speed cap on your "port" that they need to lift. It is also done remotely so no faffing needed. Don't mean to wind you up further but its a 5 min job on the PC and someone does not know what they are doing.

AFAIK, the cabinet has only just had fibre to the cabinet from the exchange. The BT Openreach engineer has to switch my connection over in the cabinet. Then the bods at BT / Sky will 'enable' my fibre broadband.

So quickly... If you move to fibre they don't have to fit a new cable to yoir property? BT told us otherwise, recently we have had a lot of dropouts, the quiet line test is often crackling, yet when BT sent an engineer to solve our dead phoneline (t'interweb worked) they blamed our handset saying it had a short circuit and charged us £120 for the callout. Low and behold that handset worked perfectly that evening and has ever since. Cuntpuffins I was willing to move to fibre if that meant a replacement line, may not be woryh it otherwise. As speed is not our issue anymore, more dropouts

Not on bt / sky. They use the existing connection between your house and the cabinet. Can you get virgin where you are?
