Went back to visit my folks for a couple of days last week, and never seen so many beggers in one place in my life!! - read a report somewhere that its meant to have on of the highest concentrations of beggers in europe or something

Getting a sandwich for lunch is like running the gauntlet! Don't get me wrong, I sympathise I just just don't see why they believe that it is my duty to feed their drug habits or else I get an ear full! I'm originally from Newcastle and yes you had the mad old alchies but maybe the weather was just too much for your standard smack head! ;) I can tell you I really do feel better for that (the national audience that is, instead of just boring the pants off people at work)! ;)

There was a cockbiter on R4 this morning suggesting that it was time that we banned the carrying of penknives. There was, he believed, a few people who used one to peel an apple but that it would be a good thing to inconvenience a few people for the safety of others. It's thyings like that which make me want to stab someone.

Computers and IT personnel Im sure my PC at work has become self aware.....when the deadlines loom it falls over. Without fail. So in sheer deperation I go begging to the self promoted ICT resource manager (who as it was found, had been fcuking around with it after I complained about low performance) After 10 mins of re-setting the thing back to stock it crashed again...his solution? 'im going to have to go back to my desk to make some calls, i'll give it some thought' :beat: So I had a chat with our 3 party software support who basically said that since the software had been running happily for 18 months something must have chaged to the hardware....it was at this point I realised the blokes been tinkering  At this point ICT bloke comes back and tells me that the solution to my (read his) problem is a complete re instal. To say I went ballistic would be an understatement.....at one point I recall the phrase 'fcuking useless idiot' leaving my lips  and in the middle of an open plan office too :( So thats been my day then......i re installed it all, re configured it all, uploaded all the peripheral stuuf too...and configured all that. And guess what? The last image I saw on screen was another FATAL ERROR message.....about the 30th of the day. Im going to take the ICT managers PC before he gets in tomorrrow ;)

When the council uses the cheap method of resurfacing the road by covering it in tar then chucking a load of loose chipings it. I got peppered this morning on the way to work, including in the cock pit. I've now got the choice of taking the longer motorway route to work or drive the shed until the chippings clear. CNUTS

Are you an architect? Have you ever specified chipboard for a floor? Then I wish a pox upon you. Have you ever specified a chipboard floor in a high traffic area? Then I hope your house explodes. But God help you if you have ever specified a chipboard floor in a bathroom. For if you have I will hunt you down and kill you. This friendly advice has been brought to you by someone who spent last night removing shovelfuls of this stinking, soaking sh*t from my (now ex-) bathroom.
