Really? I'm going up to Ullapool via Edinburgh in a couple of weeks and was planning on A9. Worth a huge diversion west perhaps?

Reduce to 50mph?   The lorries used to be restricted to 40mph, but they are trying to get them moving quicker to stop people getting frustrated and doing stupid overtaking manoeuvres.

 

There are plenty of awesome routes up to ullapool avoiding the A9 if you are taking the VX.
