Those of us in the south who understand lane discipline (there's not many) agree with the above 100%. It's bad and getting worse... drives me nuts especially on roundabouts where it seems to be common practice to take whichever lane has the shortest queue and then push/hoot their way to whatever exit they want and think everyone else is a jolly nice chap for being in their way. There's one by me where 50% of people in the left lane will take the 4th exit. Plus everywhere is a constant traffic jam until it rains when some cuntpuffin forgets that stopping distances might be a little longer (or they have bald tyres because the car isn't due for a service for another 24k miles) and they inevitably crash into something which causes the whole system to grind to a complete grid lock. It's a nightmare. Don't get me started on smart motorways and overtaking lorries!

It already exists Chris. But so few police and so many hoggers that the law makes no difference. A bit like those fucknuggets that use their phone whilst driving.

Yep, on my fairly regular 100 mile journey up north I see what... 500+ instances of people in the wrong lane or otherwise being completely oblivious or completely selfish, and I often don't see a single Police car.  Doesn't stand a good chance of making a difference!

I find its best to drive round in a shed and then just push them into lane 1. They then give a 1 finger thanks and I drive away.

I really do not know how people live down here without just getting out the pump action shotgun and shooting these idiots and doing us all a greater favour!

I used to live and work in London many years ago.

One week there was a guy who got shot in a road rage incident and died in a doorway of the building I worked in. This worried me somewhat. Then at the end of the week my car got keyed whilst sitting my works car park (Vodafone). I just lost my rag and resigned the next day and vowed never to live or work in the SE again.

Saying that, 25 years on and it's almost as bad in Bristol where I live now.

When I retire fully I think I'll have to move to mid Wales or Scotland to get some space. Space to move, breath and exist without being a hurry is in short supply in this over crowded little island.

London is a delight to drive around compared to completely lawless Bradford. The only other place that trumps Bradford or London is the TyneBridge at rush hour.

Move to Scotland after Indyref2 and Independence. We'll be desperate for yiur pound. The wilderness will be truly a wilderness and all the locals will be too broke to buy petrol so the wonderful roads will be more empty. Freedom...... to drive and drive and drive some more!

Actually... I have lived in Leeds and worked in Luton. Bradford trumps the lot as being the arse end of the UK when it comes to the quality of driving. Amazingly the standard of cars is hilarious... super sh*t, taxi or super car. I chose the look like a taxi option (beige mk2 Octavia hatch) as that seems to be the category that all others fear.

Car tax. Why do the government charge a 5% surcharge for paying by direct debit? Surely with direct debit under this they save having to send out renewal reminders and can be more certain that they will receive payment each month. It also balances the flow of cash through the year rather than the (presumably) influx in March and September in line with new car sales. Utility companies give a discount for direct debit why can't the government? Likewise with the double tax when buying a new car mid month (refund from end of the month for seller but pay from beginning for buyer). Why not just do both from the date of sale? Why is that difficult? Frankly I can either pay 12 months or put it on an interest free credit card but those that can least afford it are being screwed over for no reason. Sorry.. poor rant I know :(
