Knighthoods and "damehoods" for doing a bit of running or bat and ball or riding around on a kids toy. Ken Dodd spent over 70 years hard work avoiding Operation Yewtree before he got one

The whole system of 'status' has been lost. Celebrating the success of a successful athlete/sportsman is in my eyes wasted... that individual is a product of those around them. They are the ones who deserve credit. My great great grandfather got an OBE for services during the war, where he put his life before that of his peers. Is that less of a thing to have done than have a million pound entourage support you to become the world number 1 whatever (runner, ball batterer etc). It is those who give their lives to better those around them that need praise and recognition. Not someone who has worked hard (don't we all) to create a wealthy empire to retire to at the age of 35/40.

Athletes/sports people receiving honours niggles me, especially if they've already received the recognition in the medals they were awarded. After all given the choice would they rather have the medal or the honour? Having both is overkill.

People who go along to social gatherings with stinking colds, no doubt expecting loads of sympathy, and as a consequence pass it on to everyone else. You complete and utter doodahs.

That^^^  The people who do this should be taken out into the garden and metaphorically speaking, slapped senseless!  I also, really am getting seriously hacked off by the increasing number of people who just sit in the middle/outside lanes of dual carriageways and motorways.

Jeez, some of these douchebags stay in the middle lane following the car in front, when they move over they speed up as the middle lane is clear, only then slowing down when they come up behind another car in the middle lane. Slow down, wait behind them, wait for them to turn off, then they speed up again....  For crying out loud, what sort of moron's are these people?  It's getting worse out there...

Having to shut my dog away in my own house because folk won't teach their bastard children to leave the fcuking dog alone! Even had the cheek to tell off the dog for growling when the wee sh*t had her cornered.

Some parents are cretins when it comes to dogs/animals in general.

People who do 45 in a 60, and then pass into a 30 limit and just carry on at 45.  I may drive too quickly (in speed limits over 30), but at least everything I do is a decision.

Some dog owners are cretins when it comes to their dogs in general. "It's OK he's harmless" they shout as their fully grown German Shepherd jumps up on top of a toddler knocking them flying"

Personally, I think it goes both ways here.  Not everyone is a dog lover and yet most dog lovers assume / cannot understand it when somebody isn't.

Don't even get me started on owners not clearing up their dog sh*t, or owners who take their dogs to sh*t on football pitches / grass play areas and just leave it there...  I know, not all owners are the same, but then not all kids are the same either.  I agree some kids just deserve a right royal slap. Shame we cannot do it any more. Can't even do it to dog owners either

Agreed... what annoys me more than anything is when thick as sh1t people with Staffies say "My dog is safe, I've trained it well and I know it would never hurt anybody".

Er... no... no dog is safe.  You cannot reason with a dog and nor can you communicate effectively with it and visa versa.  There will ALWAYS be a risk that your dog will turn nasty and or do something unpredictable.  The only variable is the level of risk, which can be mitigated by training and a stable life etc., but never completely...  I certainly wouldn't ever leave any dog with any young child unattended... but how many "oh dear... my safe dog ate my nephew" stories will 2017 yield... too fcuking many.

Core, we've both got a bit of tit / nipple rash when it comes to dogs I see - hehehe...

Not sure I'd leave any child with any dog unattended - sometimes the kids are worse than the dogs remember....

No dog is totally reliable we had ours for 15 years until the summer of 2016 we never left him totally on his own with our kids even though he ticked all the boxes and wasnt aggressive. Too risky. I know a good few people who bottled it altogether and got rid of the family dog when they had kids. I suspect more down to the shock of how much hard work a kid is than actually worried about the dog.
