having discussed this in length, i agree you cant be 100% sure your dog isnt going to attack and its a risk dog owners take.

Those doodahs need executing. Overtake them in the 60 zone as they are slow, then they are all up yer ass or even passing you in the 30's.People who do 45 in a 60, and then pass into a 30 limit and just carry on at 45. I may drive too quickly (in speed limits over 30), but at least everything I do is a decision.

people who still dispute things like, dinos. Evolution, the reason the sky is blue, gravity, how old the planet is.
use some reasoning, logic and evaluate.
If you still think the world is 6,000 years old, flat, and everything else is a lie. Do yourself and humanity a favour and take a long walk off a short pier. The human race has been held back long enough.

You been watching Richard Dawkins again?
Pretty sad when he shows how many astrology books are sold compared to science books.
Religion, astrology, conspiracy theories, stupid lying politicians - the human race seem to gravitate to that rather than use evidence, reasoning and logic.

All proofs inevitably reduce to propositions that have no proof. A proposition without proof is called faith or an axiom, depending on your inclination. The difference between science and faith is predictive power. Nothing more, nothing less. Personally I think it's a lot less than 1% of humanity that has anything to do with advancing the human race. As long as they have their act together, the rest of us are fine.
I actually like talking to flat earthers or other people that have some kind of, in my eyes, odd conviction. As long as both sides have an open mind. Some of them even have arguments that are worth listening to, even if only to sharpen your own pencils

I've never thought of it like that, but I think you are dead right.

You're sounding like Depak Chopra who uses a lot of complicated words in the wrong context to try and make his faith crap sound scientific.

Difference may be that I'm a scientist and put my faith in science. Try reading Roger Penrose' 'the road to reality'. Or to understand why the heck the Greeks, yes, several thousand years ago, had problems with real numbers. Or Russell with set theory. Or why Brouwers proposed intuitive mathematics (which is not at all what you might think). Even in the most logical of sciences, mathematics, there are beliefs.
