Because people interpret 'eat as much as you like' as 'eat as much as you can'.
Yes, I agree. I'm not a big fan of buffets. Ok for breakfast, but other meals I'd rather order from menu.

Frigging drivers that cant be bothered to use their indicators. Am I meant to be a mind reader?
I know what you mean. And most drivers who do indicate do so automatically without much thought behind it. Often they might just as well have not bothered because they indicate so late you've already determined their move by other means. I make a conscious decision every time about whether or not to indicate sometimes I get it wrong but not often. The only time I indicate automatically is when there is just so much traffic I cannot keep an eye on everything that's happening. If I'm waiting at a roundabout and someone comes around not indicating right or left it means if they turn left into my junction, I'm sitting there like a lemon. So although they have right away, assuming sufficient time/space for their speed, rather than give way I pull out and they have to give way to me. It has to be well judged of course, giving them time to brake if necessary relative to their speed, but hey, if they haven't got the courtesy to indicate their intentions I haven't got the courtesy to wait and find out.

Linesmen. They give one incorrect penalty and when it doesn't go in they give another incorrect penalty.

Poor programming and low bandwidth often cause this. Programmers should be able to map out the page layout at the start of the page, so it renders the positions of everything immediately, such that it doesn't move around. Then the page can "fill up" as each element is downloaded (without moving the framework around). But of course in practice few companies test (or even care) about this sort of thing.

Not being able to flash cars that are behind you. Almost every time you overtake someone who's driving way below the speed limit in Switzerland they flash you. I'd like to be able to flash them back, ideally with a message - 'look at the speed limit sign you smug tw@'.

I get this occasionally too, same as the rest of us I bet.
There are programmable digital signs you can attach to the back of your car to do exactly what you require, bloody cheap too:

Car buyers. Why is it that people who are probably usually perfectly normal likeable people turn into complete bellends when they are looking to buy a car.

GLS In Dortmund on 24th of January GLS accepted a front splitter to be sent to me. Splitter lost - disappeared off the face of the earth apparently. How can you lose an item that has tracking?UPS Jaw droppingly poor service and blatant dishonesty with "attempted delivery" notes coupled with ineptitude of the highest order making what should be a "wow i've got my bits from the US of A" moment to a stressy clusterf..k lets try to collect from local depot fiasco. Suspect they have a busy busy complaints department 🤔 Even more so on Monday morning 😠
