Online companies from whom you purchase goods or a service, and whose security checks throw up duff info - so they close your account, and without telling you  Then they tell you they can't do anything unless you fill in a form and send in a utility bill. I'm not putting myself out to sort your duff info, and when I'm trying to give you money. You can shove it  rant

Incessant rain that ruined my week off work.

Having to put a tent up in pouring rain and take it down in less pouring rain ... consequently having to put it in the boot of my VX getting her all soggy and smelly.

Nightmares and not being able to sleep when you want to sleep.

Not being able to turn my horses out because of the rain.

Not being able to exercise my horses because the rain has flooded the outdoor schools and gallops ... therefore having to stand with the horses to graze them in hand for a mere few minutes.

Not having an indoor school or a poly tunnel or a horse walker.

People who know you will be worried if they/you don't/can't get in touch but carry on regardless as if it doesn't matter or hurt.

Boyfriends that you've dated for a couple of months and their friends don't know you exist therefore don't invite you to places when a guest would be welcome; therefore carrying on as if single and making you feel you're nothing more than a glorified bed buddy with a couple more priveliges.
rant rant rant

Anger management classes needed from the amount of drivel I've posted in here; but better that no one read it and it is written down than burden someone else with my trivialties!

:yeahthat: I wanted to be in the Police until I started driving. But having to work with some of the halfwits who've stopped me over the years only to waste my time asking me where I'm going, where I've been, Is this your car etc. 'No I stole it from your gran, I've just been to her house and now I'm going to yours to kick your dog.' Its nothing to do with you where I've been or what I'm up to. flabergasted once when I was stopped one day. I had a slightly leaky radiator and was a bit steamy at the front waiting at lights, next thing lights on and some policewoman bod knocking on my window thinking my car is on fire, fair enough, she asks for my keys?? to which i retorted 'no' I popped the bonnet and showed her cap off resovoir and steam from radiator. told her sitting here is not helping, I'm trying to get home. She shouts over to partner in a sarcy tone 'he says its just the radiator' no...I'm not saying its the fkuckin radiator it fcuking is the radiator. by this time there is a queue of traffic going down the hill people shouting and getting upset. but we stood there for about another 20 mins discussing how unsafe my car was with a slightly steaming radiator. She didnt like when I retorted 'thats just a ridiculous statment, at worst its an inconvenience for me at the moment, its not unsafe.' she didnt like that and accused me of attitude. I said 'no you're confusing attitude with assertiveness, I'm not going to agree you're right just to make you happy, what you're saying is ridiculous'. She didnt like that very much and kept trying to get the better of me, she never did. In the end after 30 mins of time wasting she took my name and address and I went on my merry way. Another time, this time in the VX I was coming from my gf's house heading to work along the coast road. I was following the traffic following their pace I saw the panda car behind me so was watchiing my speed, we probably did 43 in the 40's and 33 in the 30's which granted is wrong but I was going no faster than the queue of traffic in front of me and going on speedo accurateness, was probably about right. Next thing blue lights on ffs. pulled over and the ejit starts going off on one. he started with a line which boiled my blood 'you're taking libertys in a flash car' I said 'you what?, I could do 30 in a bloody corsa.' he then asked if I'd been drinking to which I said 'No, its 9am on a tuesday morning, I'm going to work, have you been drinking?' cannot be arsed with it. he then said his partner wants to do me for speeding, why didnt he then???? cos he bloody well can't. wot utter pish. away and throw hot shite at the moon you halfwit. again I left on my merry way. I find police officers attitude abrasive. you are disrupting my day and wasting my time. Unless you have a good reason to stop me, dont fcuking bother. On the other hand traffic cops are all sound. but maybe thats promotion and maturity that does that. Scott.

Correct. Its all about maturity

They are not trained to be dickheads, but Im afraid some of them are.

I left the force for a few reasons, but one was because I made a complaint about fellow officers who were bragging about roughing someone up, needless to say they were young and newish to the job.

I then felt I didn't want to be part of it anymore, again for a few other reasons too (statistics/hidden camera vans/human rights act/useless courts/getting old)

My advice, if this ever happens to anyone and you are dealt with in a way thats wrong, ask for their collar number and report it to the inspector at their station. (not the sergant, has to be inspector)

Its not fair that some twat in a uniform behaves in this way.

Beware: Intelligent post alert  Traffic isn't strictly a promotion; it's a career choice open to those capable and who are eligable for the extra training. I do get annoyed by people 'tarring us all with the same brush' so please do not disregard Police Officers and Forces - we are there to provide you with a service; public protection. As shallow and marginal as that may seem, each to their own as to how they go about their jobs on their beat. The Thin Blue Line is stretched very thinly at the moment - and some officers like myself do their best to make sure that things are carried out properly and to the best of our abilities. Bare in mind, that with some 'minor traffic offences' (I sense this is your main problem) a rookie cop will be sent to deal by their crew partner just to see how they cope and to help them try to develop a style of what works and what doesn't. It can't all be learned from a Blackstones Police Textbook - the best way is on the job, where we can make mistakes when there is someone (hopefully) competent enough to give us constrictive feedback on how things could be done better or to bail us out should it turn nasty; that's the reaon why we are all given a period of 12 weeks (or there abouts; may differ between forces) to acclimatise with a force area (ours are OCU's). Hope that helps - but please; my forum reputation aside, I pride myself on doing a good job so don't tar all of us with such negativity. I've been through some rough stuff since I joined up - more than I bargained for and I have physical damage from it that I will have to live with for the rest of my life; all for trying to 'protect'. In this case it was my own dignity and uniform. Like Tfp, I agree; it really is a question of maturity. Some people see hyatts and a cascoe as a right of passage to be aggressive, and some officers do have that air - in part, the uniform will do that to you as well as the strength that is required to deal with certain 'issues'. Personally, I think you can tell a copper a mile off - but that's not a bad thing. If you don't like us, at least that way you can avoid us! And also as stated - if you have a complaint to be made, take the officers details and report it. If you can find an inspector willing to talk to you at the front desk - then by all means, take it to them. But; again, consider your own attitude as to how you would approach that issue and whether it is justified genuinely - what led you to be in the situation where you were stopped? What did the officer do wrong? How did you conduct yourself when being questioned? Where you/they justified? What was said and more importantly how was it said; between yourself and the officer? Was there any hint the situation might escalate? ... just a few things that go through my mind when I write statements and deal with people :). Sorry for the long post - this one was possibly actually worth reading. Take care people and drive safely. :grouphug: Edit: Not all traffic officers are sound ... some are very shrewd; beware getting their backs up! :P

Which to my relay was f*ck off you tool and race your mate in the saxo. It was quite funny though as he claimed to be able to beat anything on the road

Strangely smiling, fully lit and flashing santas, standing with smug looking snowmen six feet tall, squashed around reindeer led sleighs precariously squeezed between upstairs and downstairs windows, all surrounded merrily by a million more fairy lights than blackpool tower on a gay parade  Bah humbug thumbsdown

Dependant on your beliefs systems, the day mankind's saviour was given to the world but regardless of what you or i believe, it is responcible for:

The day the tired, wretched and tourtured battle lines of the waring world stood up proud and unprotected by nothing other than the beliefs in their souls and walked towards eachother for the first time in many years with love and not hate in their hearts.

The day a very many (sadly not all) children wake early from their innocent sleep with enough excitement and joy in their little hearts to power a nation for a lifetime.

The day (regardless of if it being all too seldom) that many hardened hearts are softened as they see the joy their present has given and realise the concept that it is greater to give than to recieve.

--------------------

..regardless of personal beliefs (there are those that believe respecting and accepting the beliefs of others is as important as the values in your own, for with those two as foundations, ones own beliefs stand stronger and more relivent to oneself) it has been for many, and will be for many more, the most important day of their lives.

thumbsup to that. I'm still having an absolute nightmare of a time with this new laptop's cursor pad thingy. How the heck one is supposed to stop it wondering all over the screen via ones palm rubbing it and inadvertently either scrolling the screen down and interupting the key input or clicking a link on the page so all input to that point is lost i'll never know...most most most upsetting :beat: (wish my antique of an ibm with it's red dot still lived)

I'm trying to get all my old vinyl records onto my multi media system. The ad for the s/w says its dead easy but damned if i can get the pc to recognise the turntable. As always help is via a support service which you have to inch your way thru their way of doing things, you know, what operating system, what versions etc etc etc. Doing me poor little noddle in.
