Make the most of the warm, fuzzy feeling that you made such a big effort for a friend :)

Personally i love the fact that lovers have a day, that makes me very happy..the sadness comes with the fact that i have nowone to share it with. This lonely existance (not ment to sound as self pitying as it does, for it is self impossed) gets very dark sometimes and it warms the cockles of my little heart to see the light of others. Yes it's a painful day, a day of stark reminders of how personally and socially inept i am but it's also a day that light shines within that darkness, even if it is being shone from the other loves of others. In the same way as i'm not now and never will be a father, fathers day is still an important day for alot and i'd not want to see that go (my father and i do not recognise that day, never have never will). Mothers day is another important one and what with mine still holding onto life by her fingertips, come the day she's no longer here, once again it'll be a stark and painful reminder of what is missing in my life (just as valentines is) but i'd still want it to be there for all those that can and do celebrate it. I guess all celebratory days (ie christmas/valentines/newyear/birthday ect) are hard when you're totally alone and it's no help to be reminded of ones short comings but it's a double edged sword in such a way as it's also nice to know that others don't suffer/share the same afflictions thumbsup That sounds all very wishywashy and i appologise for spoiling the thread with my silly thoughts. I guess what i'm trying to say is that it's not the day as such which makes me sad, it's the 'me' that wakes up to it and in the same way that i'd not wish 'me' upon anyone, i'd also not wish that sadness upon them either. Long live valentines day...just please wake me up when it's all over chinky chinky

Both my wife and I have always ignored Valentines day.

Which translates as

I ignore Valentines day and my wife has given up on any idea of romance from me

:P

Thank you kind sir :grouphug: ...Sorry, didn't mean it to sound all as self pitying as it has (upon rereading it). I guess all and any situation/system has it's drawbacks and loneliness is just one of those that come with the territory with mine.

I've only ever had a handful of relationships through my long years but each of those has been with girls that were and still are amazing people, as beautiful on the inside as they are on the out (a rare combination indeed and i thank god i had the fortune to meet and love them). I'm afraid the fault always (and this is not just me being my self-depricating self either) lies firmly with me as to just why they ended (all were long term/time relationships..the last as a fience but fate deal her a cruel hand of illness that kind of helped the cookie i usually bake crumble alot quicker). I just can't stop this stupid head wanting what it's not got and when i'm in a relationship, i always think 'oh i wish i was alone again' and visa versa. I class myself as terminally single now, for i will not allow myself to squander the love of another person again that doesn't deserve such treatment, for none did (to my utter and complete shame). Best be alone and stay that way. thumbsup

The Haribo 'sign the confession' adverts  :beat: Not sure which is more irritating - the father, the sprog, or the script... The confused.com adverts/programme sponsorship clip thingies - and particularly that idiot boy going 'da na' in a voice which makes him sound like a eunuch... Gargh.

Ebay :angry2: Why are people so thick, that they bid close to retail, sometimes more  Muppet's Call me old fashioned, but there was a time when second hand items attracted 50 % or 60% of their original value. Think I'll pop off to the shops :P

People who tell lies to your face; when you want to believe them so badly, but know that at least one thing they have said is totally untrue which undermines everything else. People who break others hearts and can't even see it. :angry2:

The plural of 'text' is - unsurprisingly - 'texts'. It is not 'teksiz' or however one might spell it

:yeahthat:  In addition - people who write in text speak when it isn't appropriate to do so - statements, letters, essays, critiques. Gets on my pip something cronic as I have to go edit it. Oh yeah - thanks to the snow I have to buy ANOTHER number plate. I don't want any more VDRN's or a fine or someone to take the michael.

*Unhappy bunny alert* Not being able to sleep when feeling so tired and not being able to eat because food is just plain boring. Wanting to scream and not being able to because you just can't be bothered. Talking and talking ... and being told to talk more by someone that is trying to help you when you just want to back off and heal what's going wrong. Knowing what you should do and want to do, but instead do completely the opposite out of habit. Not being able to break a habit when you're trying so hard to quit it (like drinking/smoking but not in my case ) because you know it's what might fix stuff ... but just have so much crap going on you just want to offer support and get some reassurance back. Love. Damn it car. The damn weather being cold and not being able to work my horses properly. Getting water in my ears after swimming - I really hate that. Having a cold sucks too. :( *shot gun for Naamah* That's better :)
