Fraid I can't agree there!
Some years ago I was told that I had a rare type of bone tumour just below my left knee and a 15% chance of making my next birthday (28th)
I'm now on my 2nd prosthetic knee and 14months of chemo got me this far...a grumpy old sod with a dodgy leg...but I'm still here
And the treatment I got from the NHS was second to none, the surgeons that operated on my leg are recognised as among the best in the world
I went racing 6 weeks after my first op!
The NHS may not be perfect but it's still one of the best health services and it would be a lot better if the fcuking politicians kept out of it!

Sorry not meant to read like I'm having a go at you Mikey, just defending the NHS that I know Doug

And yeah too many funds wasted on managers chasing targets etc We need more nurses and Docs not more paperwork/managers

and rightfully so by the sounds of things. I've just heard some horror stories, sounds like yours was the opposite! My time in a public French hospital was very good, aside from the food.

I've always had private health care in the UK, the only experience I have with the NHS is with them nearly killing one of my grandparents due to neglect.

YorB - yep, I'm back in Blighty. Very weak but gradually building my strength back up after a nightmare journey.

Today :angry2: Populated by idiots with their idiocy, from the moment I set foot outside. Then decorated by waaay too many sprogs (when are they off the streets again?), and their spoilt parents - who think surely you must love their offspring and appreciate their delightful little ways, just as much as they do. The cherry, was just now handing over an item I sold on eBay to the buyer, and then finding out I'd just parted with a valuable collectable. But because I didn't list the proper details on eBay, it wouldn't have been searchable by collectors And now I have to clean the car, whilst feeling deeply sea-sick - after having tested out my new binoculars on the amazing view from my flat :sick: :sick: :sick:

I get on my tits! :) I go and buy the cheapest PVR from Argos and expect it (and it's replacement after the first died) to work like it says on the box because they've been around for years now and even a bad one should still be good... nope, you still get what you pay for :P

Oxford United highlights on BBC website... if you are going to pay someone to film, go to the effort of editing it and putting it on the website... atleast make it of some actual "highlights", not just blokes standing around wanting to take a free kick.
