Not so subjective, I didn't think I would notice such a difference. Here is the verdict after just a short time.... 1) Car is harder to veer from straight line, either by steering wheel or bumps in road, at high speed. 2) The bouncy front (that I noticed at high speed previously) has gone and the car feels as it digs in when fast. 3) More grip at the front stops ABS from coming in too early as the front is more steady now. 4) Although the spitter is quite flimsy, when fitted it is fairly rigid. 5) Scrivets are OK but I have a few gaps on the corners that will be fixed later if I use nuts and bolts through headlamps (IMO) - Unless I use some sort of mastic filler. I think I will try the nuts and bolts approach as the aps are so small. 6) Finally, combined with Nitrons, there is no way I can go over speed bumps..... Might prove awkward. Here are a few pics....

Forgot to mention that, although I have the Thorney diffuser, it might have to get a Thorney wing to complement the set up. edit: You can see the gap here. The scrivets just don't pull the splitter tight enough.

Gary, apologies if it's already been covered but how did you go about venting your V/grill like that? Drill and hacksaw? Looks pretty neat.

I drilled a hole at either end of the cut-outs, drilled a few intermediate holes on the longer ones, and then cut-out the remaining material using a sharp blade. Finished it off with a file, before painting. It looks fine from a distance, but there are one or two rough, and non-circular edges up close, but it does the job.

I'm assuming this is entirely coincidental, but since refitting the clam and grille, my car has run 2 degrees cooler. Now runs at 84-85 degrees when cruising. I can't see how better airflow through the radiator would result in this alone, since the thermostat should regulate the coolant to a stable temperature. Unless of course, the thermostat is premanently open and more airflow equals cooler temps. Probably coincidental though, and indicating a problem with the thermostat.

PS The rubber splitter has already worked. I broke a number plate and clouted the bottom of my clam after dropping both wheels into potholes approaching a speed bump (not a good combination ). The splitter doesn't have a mark on it. a solid one would have been in pieces.
