Thing is that I know I'd want the car. It's the pick axe through the spinal column I'd get when it was discovered I'd bought a second one that I don't want.Come and have a look if you like - your more than welcome
It's already been discussed and apparently it was decided that I'm wrong and don't need a spare.

You'd hate it anyway Jim. It's a turbo - therefore has a lump of pig iron in the boot and doesn't handle, and it's not orange.

Why bother selling for the same privately? If a garage is prepared to give you £17,000 it's less hassle to trade it in!I've managed to px my VXT in for a New S2000 - they gave me £17,000 for it !!!
(their comments were "absolutely beautiful car you have there")
...but I've got from now to the end of September to sell it for a bit more if I can.

Because you should be able to negotiate a better deal on the new car if you have no Part-ex.Why bother selling for the same privately? If a garage is prepared to give you £17,000 it's less hassle to trade it in!I've managed to px my VXT in for a New S2000 - they gave me £17,000 for it !!!ÂÂ

That's not necessarily true. Most garages make a good profit on secondhand cars so they're keen to buy them. If they have given you a good price for your car, you will almost certainly not be getting as much discount off the one you're buying from them.Because you should be able to negotiate a better deal on the new car if you have no Part-ex.

Very true!

I might just be able to wangle a front lip spoiler and rear wing out of them if I present cash rather than another car to sell on!!

...so you could be paying £17,000 to buy it from me or you could wait and buy the same car from the dealer for £19,500 !!
Call Paul on 07932 780 710 ( http://www.karmamedia.co.uk/vxt )
Apparently I'm not allowed to drive my new car away from the dealer because it's on a 55 plate! I have to get it picked up and delivered straight into my garage because the new plates are not allowed to be visible on the road - is that right?
