I've only been on here for 5 minutes and I've definately notice a dip in banter
Reading this thread is a good sign of how things used to be.

Some come on then you experienced bunch, I challenge you to liven this place up again. In the last few days I have actually found myself really enjoying this web site again. I get some strange looks when I spontaneously laugh out loud at work on some of the threads.

Couldn't agree more mate! More banter and laugh's are needed, just like it used to be.
This thread is a classic, for sure! As is the "car theft, not it wasn't" thread.

Maybe I just don't get your humour, because it always seems to come across as very matter of fact to me rather than humour.
Maybe because we've not met, it comes across differently!

It reminded me of a colleague (at the time) I was on a 'plane with years ago - he was an SAP SD Consultant. I said to him: 'Aren't you ever scared flying?' He replied, entirely seriously: 'I don't have the imagination to be'.
Never forgotten it. Summed up the differences between him and I perfectly
Ha ha.....summs up some of my collegues quite nicely! If it doesn't follow logic, then it doesn't exist!
It's quite strange, because I do that during the day, but I make money in the evenings and weekends being a photographer. Suppose it just shows my split personality!

Exactly. He was excellent at his job, because he could only think in the box - and had no desires to think out of it. SAP is a box, with all the answers in there somewhere - you just need to find them. Imagination/creativity not required, and indeed could be detrimental! If it doesn't follow logic, then it doesn't exist!
