I was the dull yellow datsun cherry man. 980cc / 45bhp according to the book - more like 4.5 at the wheel. At least it had 'go faster stripes' When someone rear ended the rust bucket I took a sledge hammer to the back of the car and straightened it out in half and hour. Ended up flogging it to a mate after he bounced his mini off a telegraph pole and into a ditch. The saga continues, as we found the datsun about eight years later in a scrap yard, and it still had the extra front spot lights he had fitted.

Upgraded to a Trimph Dolomite next - which rusted away. It went a lot quicker after I took the air filter off !!! Edit - This isn't mine as I don't have a photo of her. I think the colour was rusty blue according to the manual, with a black roof.

1.3 Suzuki Swift Gs (NOT Gsi as I had to keep telling the ins. company ;) ) I think Swift was a bit of a misnomer but it had seats , pedals , gears etc and NO power stearing. :D Only drove it about a couple of dozen times as I was using it to learn in and struggling to find anyone in the family mad enough to 'escort' me.

Thats not mine, but the same colour and spec. No power, no street cred, but quite a lot of fun to drive and cheap as you like to run.
