No offence nick....the DP freestyler didnt live upto its name (IYKWIM)

truly truly awful imitation of the HARO freestyler...in fact i would go as far as to say it was one of the worst BMX'x built (im guessing you know my stuff here)

the quadangle...in the exact same colours as mine..

fcuking sh*t...one arial...snapped....PK ripper? same thing...aluminium just aint strong enough...and as for landing gear forks  you may as well weld 1kg to the from of you bike then wait for the forks to bend forward

ok mate...you pick the fokka up though yeah? thumbsup funny hearing this (dp) stuff...takes me back The DP thing all started off with curtis BMX anybody remember? T45 tubing and sold by the bucketload for racing IIRC it was two guys from Aerospce in bristol...they split and one made Brain curtis bikes (trial mx bikes too) the other was DP.... I helped develop the Brian curtis freestyler...the alternate was the DP freestyler....the DP being based (hopelessly) on the GT freestyler (eddie banana bloke) and the original haro freestyler... the lightest i managed to get any of them with skyways was 25kg...ie hopeless...way way to heavy christ how time flies

I couldn't afford a Haro Master at the time so picked up the DP frame as it looked very similar to the Haro... What do you know about the Glyn Lewis Edition I got?? A mate of mine got a yellow Eddie Fiola look alike GT Pro Performer complete with yellow skyways.. that looked the muts! Another mate had a Raliegh Night Burner  i shouldnt laugh he drives a F355 now and is a dentist :( Jules... have you seen how much Quads are going for?? i dunno if Andy Prestons old one is still for sale on Alans site but imsure that was going for £750  just checked its still on there along with a red one which is up for £1k  Cheers Nick chinky chinky Cheers Nick chinky chinky

Glyn Lewis rings a bell actually... cant remember why.....i think he was crap...wasnt he the guy that was (sort of god on the ground) but shite in the air? long time ago.... all i can say is that 99.9% of freestyle bikes are sh*t.....they are just tooooo fcuking heavy...lets face it if you want to to 15' foot airs and land like a brick they might just be acceptable... i didnt do the glory stuff pics wise...but blew away quite a load of the so called best. for flatland forget a 'freestyle' frame...they were built by idiots to last...haros were a typical example...their blyther frame was soooo fcuking heavy it was unusable...same with the GT's...that ran at 27kg for a so called 'freestyler'... i met eddie once and his wasnt a stock model ;) more like a GT pro ;) my advice? buy a race model if you are looking old skool.... and forget CW frames R1CHY thumbsup

To say i was gutted when my dad gave away my Diamond Back Viper was an understatement.

still remember asking for it in the bike shop for Xmas "Dad, [Andys voice]I want that one[/andys voice]

"but son, thats £150!"

farking bear traps made short work of my shins in 1982 i tell ya

Andy & Neil Ruffle lived locally (BMX Beat etc) and after seeing him jump over a car in the local swimming pools car park i just knew i had to get me one of them. The boys had a HUGE half pipe in their drive which was surrounded by a 8ft high fence, the times id seen cars nigh on crash into the back of each other after a kid on a bike *appeared* 15ft up in the air from behind the fence.
