Some very rare Greggs are lower on the left hand side. If you find one and take it back to the shop they'll refund your money AND put you into Fame Academy. Imnotworthy James PS. I'll be voting early and often mate.

I was offered lots of different flavours of my Greggs pasty, but you could see Silver Skin Onion was the most popular one. I went for the most common tasting but really they all looked good. I asked if there would be a lower price for the most common but there was little discount available. Later the Greggs production line malfunctioned and they made lots and lots of extra ones. In the end they had to offer a 20% discount to try and get rid of them. You can imagine that I was very disappointed, I did not feel like another pasty so close after getting my first. Also, on my way home from the shop I dropped my pasty and broke a small piece of crust off the side, I took it back and the baker and he said he would put a new piece of corner crust on it and it would be as good as new. I was gutted but I had herd a rumour that another person dropped a Greggs pasty and actually kicked the thing into the road, when he took it back to the baker they said it would need a complete new crust. It turned out all right in the end as the filling was fine! But it just goes to show….you should hold your pasty very tightly and make sure you don’t drop it on your way home. :beat: Stumpy

I actually passed a Greggs shop whilst out for a walk at lunchtime today, and cackled inanely to myself for seconds.... Someone took a bite out of my pasty after it came out of the oven but before being delivered to me on a plate. I had to ask the baker to make me another one, to exactly the same recipe. This is taking bloody ages because the recipe's quite rare and the oven is currently operating on quite a low heat. However, the baker has been quite agreeable, he's reimbursing me the cost of a picnic and also trying to get me an extra picnic day with the vindaloo pasties. The crust on my original pasty was damaged quite a bit, but it's been re-baked and is fine now, not a hint of dandruff to be seen. The baker's currently got it available for tasting but he'll sell it on to a happy comestible enthusiast soon enough :)

i left my greggs out in the rain. now the pastry base is all soggy. should i worry or is everybody elses pasty the same when caught in the rain? i'm thinking of adding some fresh chilli's to the filling (it's a traditional original - not a vindaloo). have you guys moddied your pasties too?

Bad news. I dropped my pastie. It looks like the pastry has been damaged in several places and the filling is visible in parts. I'll know more once the assessor has looked at it but at the moment it's looking like it's going to have to be fed to the dog.

i heard talk of a guy called Gav who got a little over zealous with his pasty and ended up getting his fingers so badly burnt it was months before he actually got a hold of another greggs.... is it true that ladies find the male, vindaloo greggs pasty eater, very attractive? anybody picnic with a sexy chick whilst feasting on the vindaloo? inaturally i'd want some pics as proof?

here is an example of what i'm talking about - not a 'Gav', granted but harrowing none the less. from exoticwrecks.com. just becareful out there fellas (and heather) you'll note how dangerously close to the edge of the harbour this tragedy ended up - so i guess it could have been a lot worse.

not that i'm bitter or think i made the wrong choice in greggs over ginsters, but this is quality merchandising and only goes to prove that greggs still has a way to go...the evidence

i saw a very posh man - think he might have been a barrister - this sunny lunchtime eating a melton mowbery. it was obviously way too much for him, tho - it was crumbling before his very eyes and he ended up with juice all down his expensive silk tie. it really look like a piece of sports snack heaven tho. btw i had no idea melton mowbery was actually in blackpool. :blink:
