I was at TMS on Friday 26th for a Stage 2 on my VXT.
Like an excited child at Christmas I was at the garage for about 07:30 (I agreed to meet JT at 08:30) the guys at the garage came out to my car and asked if I was at the garage for TMS work and invited me in for a brew.
We had a coffee and chatted about the cars in the garage and VX’s in general.
They got my car on the ramp at about 08:00am and started fitting the exhaust, JT arrived as he said at 08:30 somewhat bemused from his brush with death, (he reversed into an astra in his X5
) sorry John, I feel a little responsible as you were rushing to meet me.
Had a good chat with John then hung around drinking coffee, playing playstation, TV and wondered around the garage looking at all the goodies for the VX’s etc.
Once the exhaust was done John got cracking with the re-map. He took it out a couple of times and then it was over to me.
The first thought in my head as I almost took off going over the bridge outside the garage was, $hit
, I’m going to go through a lot more brake pads. It instantly felt faster, but a lot smoother through the rev range/power delivery. The exhaust note was fantastic an instant MASSIVE improvement on the original one, very
I have now driven the car solidly for 4 days including various roads around the Lake District and I can say it’s the best ££ I have spent since buying the car.
