Also..... if the boys want to....well do whatever over photos of women, then keep it in the game girlfriend thread, where i would imagine none of us women look at. this was a thread started ages ago, about the girls on the vx forum, as a giggle, nothing sinister. Also they contained faces and no suggestive remarks were made or slutty pictures posted. it was all above board and clean. this person crashing a thread with stuff like that is not necessary, and as she pointed out, yes we did visit this thread regularly more from the point of view what on earth might she have posted next!! We visited this thread because it was a female friendly environment, with joking comments made but nothing that demeaned women. the minute she posted it became cheap and tacky.

From my point of view, it was (what came across to be) the unbelievable self-absorbed arrogance and 'me me me'ness, which apparently in turn prompted comments along the lines of 'Well, I'm back to liven this thread up' (after Amanda and I had been posting IIRC); and 'The thread was great [because it was all about me me me] until it was hijacked' (the inference being by myself and Amanda). I may have my opinion on the matter, but ultimately I couldn't care less what she posted and where, and wasn't the least bit bothered by the fact that all attention was on her (as evidenced by no posts being made). But it was when conceited comments like the above were made by her, that I saw red. And particularly irksome from someone who seemingly joined up just to post suggestive photos of themself. As R1CHY said to me once 'You're not that special'. Although I'm sure you'll all tell me that she is... A little humility and modesty go a long way...

What we are saying is we (female vx owners) could all show you hell of a lot more if we where that way inclined but we don't cos we are here for the car not to get gratification for our bodies etc

Exactly Foxy, therefore we are well within our rights to speak up if we feel its inappropriate. Which is what we have done.

As someone said earlier, if a bloke came on here, not owning a vx, showing pictures of his meat and two veg and us women egged him on to put more photos and made suggestive comments, you guys would take that in your stride, join in with the banter and not make any negative comments?

I didn't join a site that was going to be derogatory to women, i joined a site that would help me enjoy the ownership of a fab car - clearly i was wrong.

you know what i'm a successful business women, started my business from nothing, i own my own 4 bed house, have two cars, go on a couple of holidays a year, have no debt bar my mortgage, and yet we are the minority from a moral/integrity stand point on a f'ing car forum. pathetic

She has mentioned a friend who has a Vx but has never said who
She posted a pretty personal picture of a male vx member
She seems a little to contrived like she has some sort of point to prove

I have no idea what it all means but I am sure there is a point to her being here

I partly figured that maybe she is the girlfriend of someone on here, but there isn't any evidence that she joined for any other reason than to post the photos. But whatever the reason, and even if that, I don't mind - it doesn't matter For me it was when she starting acting as if she was superior to the other women on here (that's the absolute crotch crux for me), and the centre of the universe, that I got riled.

My only question was to ask why the thread went the way it did and I now get the point.

It has everything to do with it. i have achieved everything and more any bloke would, and yet i'm (women) are looked apon as pieces of meat and unfortunately the intervention and comments from Foxy have arrived slightly too late in my opinion.

Nothing was said by any mod about the content, egging on and suggestive comments made by the boys in relation to this person. however, we as 'women' say we are not happy with this behavour and now a mod starts to intervine completely missing the point.

I'm not going to comment any further to be honest, can't be bothered. Foxy, if you have any other comments you would like to make you can pm me.

It's the internet Sean. You know well what its like.

She didn't come across this place at random, one of the first pics was her in front of a VX.....I'm guessing thats where she found us. That and she knows people on here.

I've never known a forum where some or another woman hasn't turned up attention whoring with pics etc.

Car forums are the worst for it...mainly blokes on line sat in front of a screen, and (given that) mainly single blokes

Thats cannon fodder for an attention whoring female.

And that's where we are at here....it doesn't bother me. But I can understand Amandas and Nats pint of view.
