JG The speedlines in gloss black look stunning. I'm liking them much more than my satin ones.

There is a bit of debate over how they should have been in the first place.

This is the picture than persuaded me that Gloss was the way forward.

I've also thought which colour was correct. Like your pic shows, the show car has gloss wheels, every vxr i've every seen has had satin. Mine were one of the Thorney sets. I think when the time comes to refurb mine i'll follow suit. Did you paint the decals back on or use a transfer. I'm really likeing what you have done to you machine. Very clean the way it should be!!

now then, i'm down to tyre choices

Do I:

Put A048s on the OZs, AD08s (or R1R) on the Speedlines for less clemant track days and keep the bridgestones (which are a couple of years old but haven't done any miles) for very wet (as if i'd even venture out)

Or do I:

Put AD08s (or R1R) on the OZs and KU31s on the speedlines, and accept that a small dent in performance on track means that i shouldn't worry too muck about getting there. The speedlines would be defauld road wheel. the Bridgestones would never get used

All this on the back of the fact that I went to Anglesey in the wet with A048s this year and survived, and then went to Le Mans with them too in the wet and survived.

AD08 all the way ! thumbsup

quite frankly replacement of rear grill is the single most horrible job on the vx. I'm very glad its nearly done. And vxl used about one hundred times too much tigerseal.

It's a godawful job, isn't it? The very definition of frustrating.
