not yet. My new grill seems fractionally too small. Question is, are they all the same and i'm trying to decide weather or not to buy a another new one.

I'd say the grills are the same.... Machine pressed.... But the clams are likely to be different sized... Hand made.

you sometimes need to modify the grill for a perfect fit, there should be a gap all the way around the grille and clam when viewed from the outside and the grille should sit flush with the number plate section of the clam.

ps: you need to remove ALL the old glue for a perfect fit and use wood to alter the pressing of the grille mesh, it usually takes about one hour to get it a nice fit. Don't forget to use cable ties and strips of wood to hold the new grille in place (wood goes vertically across the back of the clam, cable ties pull the grille nice and tight for a good fit)

I don't know how you get away with it. Rear clam in the lounge!!!! She'd rip my knackers off and feed them to the puffer fish for that.

Having advanced and nearly finished those bloody SC belt guards, I allowed myself a bit of time to play with the VX.

Completed all the little jobs to do (though i bet someone finds a couple more now the clam is back on) while the clam is off.

Here are a couple of pics,
