The VX reaches another milestone. Its finished from its supercharger upgrade. Ready to be driven. Its been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. And i'd like to extend particular thanks to Neil (Vocky) for the help and advice, meticulousness in which he worked with it, knowing that i'm difficult and anal about it (he is just as bad, often worse, so it worked well) He really is a VX messiah . Thanks also to Joe, who has been happy to answer txt as I've gone along. During the conversion we did: Full stage 2 charge cooler conversion using only new parts, drilled head to m8 Replacement timing and balance chain kits Replacement water pump Designed and fitted an ECU bracket Designed and fitted an air box mount Designed and fitted a belt cover for the supercharger Replaced the two intake grills Replaced the servo hose to the front of the car Replaced the servo connection to the supercharger Powdercoated the uprights to the rollbar, the bracket for the header tank, the ABS bracket, the airbox mount, the ECU mount, the supercharger belt cover, the little plate that prevent the top hose from snagging the rocker cover bolt. Finished installing the stainless bolt kit, i think they are now all done Installed a new steering wheel Installed Kevin's (Morgan9122) half carpet set Added OZ superturismos to the collection to use A048s The Speedlines received AD08s Did an awful lot of cleaning, ACF50ing, polishing, waxing etc etc. And loads of stuff i have forgotten It's a very straight forward conversion, i could have done it all myself, except the wiring, and i also wanted to do it with someone that had experience of doing if before. I could do another now without too much of a problem, though it was much more pleasant having Neil around. Mapping is booked for March, and i now need to decide if it should have a few miles before the long trip to CMS in which case it would need to be taxed and insured (converted from off road policy) in feb Next, and before the trackday season it needs a set of brakes and disks and probably a new slave (mine doesn't look beautiful) I'm already bored, and might go and take it all apart again.
