:P Thats the thing with these cars they need to driven properly once in a while to ensure that they are running right. People often shy away from cars which have done a few track outings. I'm the other way round, you can only find out how a car really drives when there are no limits other than the ones imposed by the car. My car sill has normal power and on the road feels perfect, as do the brakes. So this is an issue that would not have been flagged if it was not for a track outing. i probably only did around 10-12 laps in all, but thats all you need. Nothing wrong with cleaning it, in between, its already in bits :D

Had a nice long (aren't they always :P) conversation with Jon at CS today. He reckoned, my rev limit, tune, type or corner, all pointed to fuel starvation even at half tank and not valve springs. So, i'll just see how it goes at anglesey and then make a decision after that. Unless i can fit a TD in somewhere else before then.

D
5.5-6k isn't that high really, does point more fuel starvation than valve bounce.

Interestingly it wasn't like this (thanks jimmy Imnotworthy) This sounds like a limiter (also how CS descibed it), whereas my problem was much more of just nothing. A cut-out effectively. An inspection of my plugs and piston crowns (what i can see of them), show no sign of damage. So i'm going to stick a new tank in and persue the new engine project (with double valve springs ;)), which will be a spare.
