Drive up here and help me replace my handbrake cable (that I unceremoniously cut at the weekend) and that will help drain your tank of petrol, for when you do the switch. Win win.

How did you manage to cut a handbrake cable? Or was it just "in the way" and you got frustrated?

That. Replaced the rear calipers on Sunday and when I tried to disengage the cable, the caliper bit back and eat one of my fingers. Decided the quickest (least painful) way was to cut the handbrake cable where it's fixed to each caliper. Ran out of motivation to replace the cable at that point and came in to watch the GP instead.

I dunno what you're all on about. I've managed to avoid punching or kicking a hole in the VX so far, so my anger management skills have massively improved.

Fitting hand brake cables to calipers on the vx is the second most hateful job, after the replacement of the rear grill ( rant)

Great if it wasn't raining, I've got a rear grill to fit (still I've only had it sat on the shelf for over a year now)

Matt, would have loved to have popped over but had to do this dreary yearly ritual instead.

Sat in the air, doing as i'm told:

Braking

3500 miles this year. thats the best in a long time. thumbsup

Passed - No advisories, as usual. (Mot number 7 i think). The Mot man loves it and i wouldn't take it anywhere else. You have to see the care he takes to get it in to believe it. :Imnotworthy:

For a bit of comedy value, do try a set of very old, full treaded, hard as nails Bridgestones. Fucking lethal. And yet quite a lot of fun. :P

I really hope you're being sarastic... Given your skill level with pretty much everything else I can't see how you could find it that hard - replacing the handbrake cable Was the easiest job I ever did on mine.
