Yep makes all the difference. most of my passengers couldn't tell that i had left it on. You can get the tyres to chirp under heacy braking. go and try and do that with the standard system.

I must be the luckiest owner there is. Mine's stock, was left on at the national and was fine, even with 16/17"'s!

After reading more about it I know realise that what I thought was something wrong with the brakes is the 'ice mode' It's scarred the s%&t outta me a few times on the back roads where I genuinely thought it wasn't going to break enough for a corner and had to take it way faster than I'd normally. So definitely going on the list :D Now interestingly this has only happened since switching to Europa wheels with standard spec potenzas....

Got quite a lot to do before le Mans.

Jimmy* wore the inner toe link out  :P so in need to change that.

Some of you will be aware that i hit a dog on the motorway late on the way to the national (4 miles from the hotel). It made a mess of the dog and of the clam which has now been approved for replacement under a very large insurance claim (£6k). Luckily nothing else underneath hit or damaged.

Unbelievably thee clams in stock so it will be repaired quickly but after le Mans. :)

Particular thanks to Ali for making me email the relevant insurance people on the night of the event when i got to the hotel.
Funniest bit was seeing people point out the dirty bits as i arrived at the hotel, unaware there was a bloody great big hole on the other side

*alright i might have :P

Since this thread is full of pics here i suppoe i have to post a couple:

PS: if you hit a dog, report it in person to the polce within 24h, else you'll get into a little bit of trouble. I left it a bit longer and did it by phone to the displeasure of the police.

Sorry to hear about this mate :( Good shout about reporting it to the police quickly though. I reversed over a dog in my old van, took the dog and the owner straight to the vets and made sure the dog was going to be alright and then went home... Then a week later I get a letter from the owners solicitor saying it was a hit and run on the dog and that I owed £3k in compensation. Luckily I was in the police then and made a report straight away after the incident and that's what saved me! It turns out that a dog comes under personal property laws but cats don't! So if you're going to hit anything, hit a cat

I have to say it was a rather surreal place to be at near on midnight by the side of a road with JG, Lee, a random trucker, a dead dog and a damaged car  poof Even weirder was all the lorries going passed and driving over the damaged car bits on the carriageway.
