but it is perfectly drivable and i will be going to le Mans with it as it is. I did buy it a new splitter though :lol:

Sorry to read about what happened, i'm amazed the clam stayed together so well. On the upside, just imagine how clean you can get the bits under the clam before the new one is fitted.

I think the ventureshield helped a lot. Thats part of the cost of all the work involved, £600 of ventureshielding.

ah feeling much better :P, spent a few hours this afternoon/evening cleaning the wheels. At least one part of the car is clean.

Near side inner toe link bearing replaced (little bit of play, fine for most, i decided on a swap) Can't get a set-up until Monday, nothing like leaving it to the last minute again is there :lol:

I'm still waiting for a call from the exhaust people about the modified tailpipes. As it currently stands, I'll be coming with a manifold and maybe the decat silencer with the gases exiting straight through the nearside rear wheel. Probably no different sound wise though.

New method of getting your tyre hot Matt a la F1 :lol: You'll be on fire (hopefully not literally) on right handers straight out of the pits :D

Shame the first corner out of the pits is a left hander. :( Still, McLaren, Renault and Ferrari are always claiming that F1 technology does filter down to their road cars. Maybe if Vauxhall ran an F1 car, they'd come up with similar.... :beat:
