This morning's progress :)
One of the wishbones had to go back and was returned this morning:

Posted Image

Balljoints were ACF-50-ed first

Then Duralac-ed
Posted Image

And you want to see that little yellow line squeeze between ball joint and wishbone
Posted Image

Got them all in an hour or so
Posted Image

Posted Image

Before disassembly i noted the direction of the bushes
Posted Image

Fitting is the opposite of removal with the elise-shop tool - I used ACF-50 as a lubricant to get them in. It was mostly easy other than having to go back to the car for each one to ensure it fitted nicely.

and all done

By chance, could you measure the outside diameter of the steel sleeve inside of the rubber bushes. Thank you

Every time Jon see's the underside of my car he starts fantasising about suspension refreshes and powder coating. One of these days I'll go over there and his VX will be floating in mid-air with each corner stripped down.

Jesus JG, that is immensly overboard on the cleaning and painting (I'm just jealous as my undercarriage looks like I've driven through the North Sea).

Have you done (coated/painted) the track rods? Can't tell in that pic? Looks great btw, going back together well?

yep, its far easier to put back together than it is to take apart, as all the bits go together nicely. Save for the couple of items where i forget the direction of the bolt which goes into the cabin for example. I've not replaced the track rods they are only a couple of years old. I will be binning the ARB though that you seen in the pic.

Im doing the same process with my car at the moment, currently waiting for the wishbones back from the powder coaters. The old wishbone nuts and bolts had some bent clips that stopped the nuts from loosening off. I notice you havent put new ones back on. I've been trying to find new ones or decide if I needed them. I assume its safe not to put them back on then? Looks

Not refurbishing the callipers this time, so they look slightly of place :P

Everything is torqued up now, i used standard shocks for the 'locking in' of the new std bushes.
