Brake discs have rust on them. Not good enough, I'm disappointed in you James!

Its not actually rust, well it probably is, but they've almost gone orange and it looks like an oxidation of the zinc coating rather than them rusting as such. Anyway, they're going :lol:

Why? To me, it just looks like you're trying to cover up some damage by doing that. Not like it's corroding away, unprotected. :unsure:

The heater has gone - and what a piece of shit it is. Mine is going in the bin thumbsup. the rusty bracket was the final straw.

The most exciting thing of the day? being able to get a cloth through the chassis legs :lol:

Quite a bit more to do to tidy up before anything can go back. currently debating taking the catch mechanism apart and having some parts powder coated. Might take the servo out too, and paint it. did look at a new one but £300 seemed a bit on the steep side for esthetics alone.

I don't know how you do the fez conversion with the clam on - my back hurts and i can get a lot closer than with a clam in the way. My advice is to pay Tom to fit it for you :lol:

Slight change to the rad charge cooler mounting

The old rad was thiner so it had much more spacing (3mm) but in essence it was mounted like this:

But in order to try and persuade a bit more air to flow over the rad, i've mounted it with a 2mm single sided foam tape on the mounting points and a 6mm tape on the ends

the end result is that it looks like this

and on the ends like this;

Pah. Beat all of you. That's what I did when I first fitted the rad and pre-rad for the initial SC conversion. Had turned into a real gloopy mess when I had to split them to get the holed ProAlloy main rad out and a new one in. So re-did it with some compressed (really dense core) neoprene rubber stuff, which was much better wearing and handled heat better. :P
