I don't use that flange mount on mine.

This is the tullett and the oem showing the problem.

You're right JG, it's only a few degree off.

I had the tullet flange re-welded to fit the OEM position cat section flange. As smily said it will be the Tullet not Miltek that is wrong!

By how many degrees did you rotate it?

I just marked up on the flange where the holes needed to be and handed it over to the fabricator £15.00 later all done.

I've just done exactly that.

I'd be cautious about blaming the tullet too quickly. It fitted fine with my oem u bend.

Either way, this is how far out the the holes are. (my pencil marks)

But the Milltek U-bend isn't very well made. Its out of square (by quite a long way, more than i can show in that picture). Its brand new, so i could sent it back, but since i'm going to modify it, i might as well keep put up with it:

Posted Image

That would be why it doesn't fit very well

I think the Oem mounting on the NA can put up with that due to the short radius. but that does look about the same as the mark up i've done on the u-bend

On the plus side, the fuel system just primed up beautifully :D

NA Milltek back box, which is virtually the same as oem.

AMD had no issue fitting my tullet cat to the miltek u-bend. Friday afternoon job by one of them? Did I read that you'll be offering the complete fuel system kit and fixings as a package on mango JG?

I don't think all the Tullets are like this maybe just the early ones. From memory the early manifolds didn't fit either! I think all these exhausts are quite poorly made for the money charged.

I do have a list now of all the items required. the only problem is that i think installation gets a pretty high rating on the haynes spanner list.

Not sure how AmD installed yours, I think i could make it fit (just) but wouldn't be ideal. However given the tolerances to which these things are make its quite conceivable that yours was close enough to fit.

Spray it with some heatproof paint... isn't that the way most aftermarket exhaust companies hide their welding.

Heatproof paint! Just cheap standard silver paint so that it burns off first time the exhaust gets hot on any aftermarket exhaust I have ever seen or had!
